Can someone help me here? I really don't get the effect on Furnace Dragon (Affinity for artifacts).

It means that it costs 1 less to play for every artifact you control.

myr enforcer
Frogmite
the chriss - Goria stuff
and many others

It means that if you control an artifact, it costs 1 less to play, but affinity doesn't reduce cost of colored mana. So if you control 6 artifacts, Furnace Dragon only costs 3 red mana to play.
