Like the title says, what are some methods to make it work better? It is really hard for me.

One person suggested acquiring multiple lotads and putting them in a circle around the shadow pokemon.

That would work, I never thought of that.
What I have heard is Hoppips, they are Grass and Flying so it contradicts.

Roselias work too, I believe.

I think it would, Posion counteracts Grass, right?
Would a full line of Normal pokemon work or not?

Yes, my 9th set has all Normals. I only use it for purifying Normal Pokemon though, for best results.
Also, Bagons work nicely too.

I don't think you could reach max tempo with just normal.
No, but I use it for purifying Normal-Types, just because you can have the Normal-Type shadow be effective against a non-shadow. Even better is just have a Normal/X combination for Normal Shadows, like a Pidgeotto.
