it's too early to say whether they are version specific. I certainly haven't heard any news about it. I remember hearing that certain babies were found in the wild now, but I don't remember any specifics off hand. We'll probably know everything there is TOO know by the end of next week, at the rate serebi, coronis, and the other websites like pokebeach are going.

most likely both. I can imagine getting some mystery egg like thing, just b/c of the new babies.

Bonsly: Diamond Only

Mime Jr.: Pearl Only.

Munchlax: both

I don't see the point of baby Pokemon. They seem klike fillers to me. This games seems to have a lot of fillers.

Usually they are for new moves.
But also fillers.

it's also a waste of time to make your poke happy enough to evolve, it wastes valuble stat points.

Hmmm what?

It SEEMS Munchlax is a Honey Tree exclusive, but most likely very rare, as I havent' seen one and I do about 8+ trees a day.

Mime Jr: Is common in diamond, you get him on routes 209-210 and in the pokemon mansion.

But in pearl he is rare at the pokemon mansion

Bonsly: Preety much visa versa,

rare at the mansion, in diamond, but common on the routes mentioned above, in pearl.

Munchlax: Is rare in both diamond and pearl, found in sweet honey trees.

what i mean is that when pokemon evolve, they get stronger boosts for their levels. if they are a pre evo, then they can loose alot per wasted level, trying to make them happy. by the way, how do you double quote?

In the end they will still have the same stats.

not necessarily, if you look at two pokemon at level 100, even with the same personality, they will have different stats.

Assuming I understood it correctly:

You are basicaly saying a Pokemon will lose stats point he couldv'e
got if he was an evolved Pokemon.

My answer:
I'm pretty sure that if that happens, upon evolving he'll get back to extra stats.

A Pokemon which evolved at level 80 and is at level 100, with the exact same Evs/Ivs/Nature
as one who evolved at level 20 and is at level 100, will have the same stats.

The only way two pokemon with the same nature, level, and EVs can have different stats is the differences in their IVs.

The only new babies that evolve by happiness are Subomi and Rioru. The other ones have gimmicks like learning Mimic and leveling or having a Remoraid in the party and leveling up.

Okay. I'll say this:
Munchlax is as rare as a Chimecho, only in trees.
I usually do every day around 10 trees.
Iv'e done in my short life with Diamond about 80 trees.
NOT a SINGLE Munchlax, or Heracross.
Wurmple/Silcoon/Cherinbo - About 60 out of 80.
Aipom - Around 5
Mitsuhoney - 15 or so.

Munchlax is only in the tree by the Power Plant.

Is there a confirmation on this?
Even if he IS, it's still a good 20 trees I did there.

does soft resetting work with honey trees or do you always get the same one?

Same specie, not Pokemon.
Like, you always get an Aipom, but not always same level/gender/etc
