I don't think that's how it works. As long as the cards are drawn and not picked up, DDV's effect still lasts. DDV does not specify it only destroys cards drawn during the draw phase.

Ruling: If "Deck Devastation Virus" is active and you activate "Graceful Charity", first draw 3 cards, then discard 2 cards for the effect of "Graceful Charity", then, if any of the monsters you drew with "Graceful Charity" are still in your hand and they have ATK 1500 or less, they are destroyed. Similarly, if you activate "Good Goblin Housekeeping", return the 1 card to the bottom of your deck, and then destroy any monsters in your hand with ATK 1500 or less.

Any card that has the word "Draw" in it's text. Not "pick", not "add", etc..

Graceful charity was already mentioned.

Card Destruction: opponent would discard their hand, and show you each card they draw. If any of them are monsters with 1500 ATK or less, they are destroyed.

Morphing Jar: same as Card Destruction

Reckless Greed: same as above

to get around DDV you need cards like Sangan (if it's facedown when DDV is activated) or Last Will

Any and all monsters with 1500 attack on field and in hand at time of activation will be destroyed...in hand only the printed attack is checked.
Example:
You have necrovalley active and GK spear soldier in hand, his atk is 1500 in your hand and will be sent to the graveyard.

As turkeyspit already commented all cards "drawn" for the next 3 turns will be checked, therefore it would include any card the states "draw" on it's text.

The way I understand it, these cards will activate regardless of whether they're face up or down when DDV fires because ALL cards are checked (Up or DOWN) for the 1500 attack or less criteria.


You also check face-down monsters on the field for "Deck Devastation Virus". If "Maju Garzett" is face-down on the field, its ATK is treated as zero so it will be destroyed.
