Berserk Advantages

The Lion strikes Berserk Parrot, Pirate Justice and Share the Wealth all allow the utility of subtracting intercept to add to force:

-1, -2, or -3 intercept = +1, +2, +3 force.

If I have extra intercept from somewhere (ally, advantage), can I pump these strikes even higher (as long as I still intercept the strike)?

Or am I limited to the intercept on the card?

Well according to the book you have to do the payment power before paying for the strike so I would say you are limited to what the card allows. In the case of Berserk Parrot, you would only be able to do the payment power 5 times, assuming you have an ally or advantages that would allow you to intercept with no help from your strike.

Say for instance you are defending against Goodnight Captain (force 1). If you had Jack the Monkey(Intercept +1) in your ally zone you could use Berserk Parrots payment power 5 times. Then he is placed into Jack the Monkeys zone as a card with 0 intercept and 7 Force.
