How to start?

Many of the people who go to the YGO league I go to also play this game, so I was thinking about trying to get into this. Does this game have starter decks, and if so, what is the best one for a new player (rulebook necessary)? Also, what are some good deck types, and how should I try to play them? Is the gameplay of this game similar to YGO, MtG, or neither?

1. Starter decks: There are two types of Starter deck currently, two more will be out end of October. Each Starter Deck comes in two sideboard options (some cards in the sideboard cannot be gotten otherwise). Your options will be:

Naruto Starter 1 (Path to Hokage)
Sasuke Starter 1 (Path to Hokage)
Naruto Starter 2 (Curse of Sand)
Gaara Starter 1 (Curse of Sand)

2. The most common decks are:

Fire/Water field control via Zabuza (Demon of Cloud Village)
Earth/Wind mental combat via Ibiki Morino and Shikamaru (Formation)

3: The gameplay is unique, it really is best to get a Starter with a rulebook and read how to play first, then ask questions from there. The rulebook is also available:

theres 2 naruto and 2 Sasuke Starter 4 path 2 hokage the only dif is 2 card in each 1

how do you fight with mental combat. Can you start the battle like a normal one.

Mental Combat must be started with an effect, such as:
Written Test
Morino Ibiki
First Chuunen Exam
Cheating

I got a sasuke starter and 4 packs. the only super I pulled was Fire Style Dragon Flame Jutsu. I also got the Sasuke version Sharingan, Temari, and some others. If you will help me make a better deck, I'll post the deck I have and all my other cards. I would really appreciate it.
