Madness:6

2 Pick-Pick (3M) - To forfill Freak's aspect cost
1 Asylum Escapee (4M) - To get Freak into a scoring cell quick
2 Faceless Stalker (7M) - To make sure I hit more often
1 Unspeakable Freak (10MMM) - Big Hitter: kills mainly Reaper and all 8+ guys

Passion: 10

3 Boneclan Hunter (3P) - Needed power, plus aspect forfillment
1 Heartsblood Temple (3PP) - Extra spawn points (usually on the 2 cell)
2 Rainforest Shaman (4P) - Extra spawn points
1 Shard Troll (4PPP) - A big assault guy who is lethal on off initiative
1 Greenlife Dryad (7P) - Extra spawn points
2 Flame Harrower (8PP) - Other assault character, can disrupt/kill alot



Basic point of warband: Gain alot of spawn points any which way and use those points to either swarm and/or activate Assault and Freak's Warpstrike 7

well i was playing this with valor over madness. I gained a ton of spawn points, and the valor pieces stats helped by maintaining enough pieces on the board. However, despite the advancing pieces I had, my flame harrowers couldn't get close to any guys I needed to Assault.

I have yet to test with madness, but unspeakable freak just caught my eye so I had to try it out. I'll post results when I do

I know what you mean about the Flame Harrower -- I've had the same problem. I am running a similar band that has been very successful overall. Here's what mine looks like:

Freak Frenzy

Madness:
1 Pick-Pick 3M

1 Ego Cannibal 5M
1 Faceless Stalker 7M
1 Chrysalis Spinner 8M
1 Doomsinger 9MM
1 Unspeakable Freak 10MMM

Passion:
1 Bloosthirsty Redcap 3P
1 Heartsblood Temple 3PP
2 Rainforest Shaman 4P
1 Raging Tusker 6P
1 Greenlife Dryad 7P
1 Flame Harrower 8PP
1 Lone Wolf 11P

I don't run as many weenies, since I find the high spawnage I get allows me to throw down pretty heavy without too much difficulty. I can maintain a better presence with a few more fatties. When it gets rolling, I can generate enough spawnage to drop 3 Freak bombs in one spawn phase.

looks interesting, but unfortunately, i don't have too many of the rares to test some of those pieces. looks like a solid curve, but how effectively can it kill opposing monsters


also on your other comment, i hope you know Freak's Warpstrike is once per turn

the problem:
freak is too hard to use (useually).
i would just go in w/ my KoaG and disrupt it....

but again- hows it play tested???

Very. Besides the Freak, Lone Wolf is deadly and Doomsinger combined with Chrysalis Spinner or Faceless Stalker can generate warpstrikes regularly.

i hope you know Freak's Warpstrike is once per turn

Crap! :( I had wondered about that rule, but couldn't find it until now. Just found the rule that says you can only activate spawn abilities once per turn. That severely diminishes the value of the Freak in my eyes. Too bad.
