It's really hard to do this for everyone, (with what little we know now), so I tried classifying them in groups of power. Obviously Jiraiya, the akatsuki leader, and the Yondaime are 1, 2, and 3, with Yondaime being 1.

I have a question. Shouldn't you take people out if you know another person on the list can beat them? And I think Gaara should have a *. And if its straightforward fighting, then most of the people with *'s are out. Like Naruto. But you don't have to take them out.

Orochimaru's pretty high, since he has the immmortal thing going, and is better than Kabuto. And we know Kabuto's even with Kakashi.

I did this because I have nothing better to do. I plan on having as many characters as possible in this list, so tell me if I forgot some and tell me where you think they should go.

We don't know the powers of a lot of specific people since Part 2 took a while to do that, so the original Nine Rookies are a big question mark, so I grouped most of them as one. I'll update this as the series progresses.

no he was at high chuunin level, maybe low jounin. He was beaten by two mid level chuunin (i know they were genin but they were chuunin level). I know that he would've killed gaara if not for the disease but i factored that into his score

I think Sasuke at least cares a little bit. Remember the episode at the beginning with the accidental kiss? If Naruto and Sasuke had never exchanged "electrified" glares, showing some type of recognized rivalry, the kiss never woulda happened.

Akatsuki Leader-This guy has S-class criminals working under him. He's fully prepared to take on the Kyubi. If he isn't already the Fourth Hokage, this has got to be the strongest character in Naruto.

Yondaime Hokage-The Yellow flash. The only person so far in the Narutovese who had the strength to take down the Kyubi. Comes from a long-line of Hokage-taught ninja's.

Sasuke Uchiha-This guys an Avenger. And he can surpress the Kyubi's energy. Even if the odds are against him, he's fighting to the very end. TO THE VERY END. I wouldn't be surprised to see the young Uchiha die fighting the battle of his life.

Tsunade-Sama-She's the strongest person in the series. She can force herself back to life. She's the flippin' Hokage. Come's from a long-line of Hokage-taught ninja's.

Kakashi-Sensei-Actually, he's not that strong. But if the two good Sannin of the Leaf village were to become MIA, Kakashi could very easily become the next Hokage. Has an amazingly long list of stolen jutsu's. His only original jutsu, Chidori, is just super awesome!

Akatsuki Leader-Despite all the adventures of Naruto, the successful and failed missions, the decisive battles, the constant shifting rivalries, it seems as if the Akatsuki Leader will be the main Antagonist of the entire series run. He has the power to defeat the other ninja, and with Naruto about to finish up it's run in the next few years, I'm guessing the final battle will have to do something with him. (I think the Leader's that Maedea person or however you spell his name)

Yondaime Hokage-The Yellow Flash. He's teacher was Jiraiya, whose teacher was the first Hokage. Jiraiya is on the same team as the current Hokage, Tsunade. He taught Kakashi, Rin and Obito, who all go on to become one of the youngest Chunin's in Kanoha history. Kakashi, in return, teaches Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, who were also tutores under the Legendary Sannin. This guy alone defeated the Kyubi, and his Body Flicker technique rivals no other jutsu. He's killed hundreds of Rock Ninja during his split with his former students. This guy has history written all over him.

Sasuke Uchiha-Not only has heen been taught by a long line of Hokage-leveled ninja's, he has numerous jutsu's that reflect his pre-jounin Elemental training. He's even been able to stand up to the Rasengan, a Hokage-made jutsu, with the Chidori, a jutsu with considerable lower strength's. His Fire-style jutsu's, despite being D and C-rank, he can manipulate in battle to make quick defeat of his enemies, even the legendary Sannin, Orochimaru*. I can go on forever about this guy, but combine his Lightning and Fire Element-based jutsu's and his will to never die, not to mention the Curse Seal Level one and two and the final level of th Sharingan, Sasuke Uchiha can defeat nearly any ninja in the Narutoverse. Mabye even Kakashi-sensei himself.

Tsunade~Fourth HokageShe's the Hokage. If that doesn't say enough, then redirect to wikipedia's article on her.

Kakashi Hatake-THis guy's next in-line to become the village Hokage. Noone else can really match him in strength, and we've yet to see all of his best jutsu's. With about 1000 missions under his belt, Kakashi is the ideal ninja.

It's said the Fourth Hokage was the greatest ever. While the Akatsuki Leader is probably very powerful, nothing has been said about him, while something has been said for the Fourth. That's my reasoning for putting him higher.

And who knows. The Leader might be really weak, it's just that the others obey him because he has a special plan that only he can carry out or something.

Itachi>Orochimaru Oro said so himself.

Jiraiya>Itachi Itachi said so himself.

Therefore Jiraiya>Orochi. IMO anywayz.

I think you guys are giving Sasuke too much credit. He's a mid-Jonin level now, IMO, but we'll see.

The only reason he's still going strong is because of his Avenger status. Not to mention he can't return to Leaf without facing the village capital punishment.

But really, his freakin' strong. If Sasuke would really go all out for it, he could beat Kakashi. Of course, the whole 'perfect situation' thing would prolly have to come into effect.
