This deck takes a tiny bit to get started b/c it needs tons of land but i added coiling oracle train of thought flow of ideas etc. to help me draw. Is there a limit on how many cards you can have in your hand?

When you have multiple versions of a card, put x2, x3 or something like that besides it instead of typing the name multiple times. Tis easier. ;)

To be honest, 20:20:20 isn't that great of a ratio. It really depends on the kind of deck you're running, if you're running multiple colors, etc. But hey, this is casual magic.

yeah i was going to do the certain card x a # but i did not feel like seperating the cards b/c it was harder because w/ yugioh i can tell the card by looking at the pic and it takes me about 50 seconds compared to about 10 minutes here......

All I can say is that you have WAY too many lands. You have 27 Swamp, which is too much by itself, but you also have 3 Vault of Whispers. So you're running 30 lands, which is half a deck. Your land count should be from 18-24 depending on the deck, and for this deck, I'd suggest 22, so 3 Vault of Whispers and 19 Swamp.

dissension guilpact the new iceage vlock and ravnica id stick with those packs as they r the newest sets a good thing about magic is that there is a much bigger variety of cards compared to ygo theres probably triple the amount of cards there r in a set and instead of nine cards in a booster u get 15!!!!!

Can somebody give me a link to the rules. I went the official site and looked but for some reason when I download the rules nothing is on the page!!!! I already go the basic concept of the game i just want to look over it.

On the lower right side under the Rules section, click on Basis Rulebook. It will open the rulebook in a PDF file. If you have trouble getting it to come up on your screen, try right clicking the link and choosing "Save Target As" to save the PDF file to your harddrive and open it from there.

Ratios vary greatly depending on the strategy of the deck, but as a general rule, one third land is pretty standard. You want to consider any non-land mana generators into the equation and err on the generous side (just slightly) as nothing sucks worse than a mana jam. Most decks go slightly heavier on creaturres than non-creature spells, and as a beginner that is probably a good policy. Try to hone your deck down to 60 cards. That is the minimun deck size and you want to try and get there in order to be more certain of seeing the cards you want to see during play. Incidentally, older cards say Summon "creature type", while newer cards just say Creature - "creature type". They are all creatures.

I see you are using a black deck....I know Cold Snap (newest release) has some decent black creatures in it. however, I am curious to know what your Yu-Gi-Oh dueling style was like (did you like fast/quick beatdown, control decks, etc).....I ask this to help you decide what colors would be most appealing to you....

well i got some cards snd i was pllanning to thin the deck down to 60 cards i haven't done it yet though i bought 4 packs and a deck i'm going to modifiy both then post each here in ahwhile my style in yugioh was CC :cool: .......... until i got bored then i made the ddeck in my siggy it is a bazoo/swarm using scout planes it's unique if you want to understand it check it out

based off that deck, I'd say White, Green and Red would probably best for you.

Red gives you the haste ability, so you can atk quickly

Green generates your mana quickly, adds speed

White has loads of weenies for that rush....

unless the land states otherwise, you just tap it to generate mana

heh, I also forgot to mention something about green cards, you can use all sorts of socery and instant cards to boost the stats of your creatures (giving it a more aggro/beatdown feel)

unlike yugimans magic can be a deck of nothing but lands and still win. you can run all creatures and win. same for every type. its just your personall prefence. one of the top decks (blue control) runs only 6-8 creatures. just find what works for you.
