are you talking about those disney little book comics that can be found at like every single supermarket. She sounds cool. a soul stealling sword.
if you have the card st.elmo's fire -> bad@$$ it is one of my favorite cards in looks, up there with rum torch and command the kraken
from the flavor texts and pics this is as much as i know
- cold blooded - "they say er' sword, Silver Tongue, is cursed - those cut down forfeit ther souls"
Rachel Darling - voodoo pirate - ( undead pirates are all around her candles)
St. Elmo's Fire - "Nothing in this world or the next will keep me from my quarry,"
Overwhelm - " I don't like depending on others - unless it's a whole lot of others."
if anyone else has any of her cards (mostly bulls) post away the flavor
or if you have any other info as well.

Scorched Sails (advantage - rare) - "Pirates are cruel, showing mercy to no one. I repay them in kind."
Hunted Down (strike - common) - "Come out, Captain... I want to ask you a few questions."
I think the Scorched Sails quote is the most telling about who she is. If I had to guess, I'd say she is some kind of Anti-pirate. She is aligned with the Light characters, but I suspect she may be operating completely independantly of the others. Someone like Lord Beckett might even arrest her as a pirate if he were to capture her. I suspect something terrible happened to her or someone she loved at the hands of pirates and now she is on some kind of vendetta. All conjecture, of course. Won't know for sure until the comics come out.

Oh, so they're doing this with the Pirates cards, too? (Making cards for characters who aren't yet part of the cast, that is.) I just assumed I hadn't been paying close enough attention to the movies to know who Rachel Darling and a few other characters were. Kinda undercuts any argument that Avatar characters aren't popular enough to be played with/analyzed, doesn't it?

Most of the art on the cards looks to me like it's done for the comics. Disney is doing the comics themselves, and so far they've been printing short stories in Disney's Comic Adventures, those digests you can buy at the grocery store. They stories are awful, in actuality. I haven't seen or heard anything about a comic reprinting those stories.
So either she's exclusive to the game or she's going to show up down the road. But she's not in the movies.

I just found this on UDE's web site. There's a section that gives a brief synopsis on each character. This is what it says for Rachel Darling:
Rachel has been obsessed ever since her father, a ship’s captain, was killed by his crew. She has sworn to destroy every crew member who participated in her father’s slaying. She possesses a cursed sword that absorbs the souls of those it kills. The sword grants her power, but it’s also been giving her dark thoughts and dreams which are slowly corrupting her.
This is pretty much what we already put together, except for that last part about being corrupted by the sword -- but then, that was to be expected as well, from a soul-sucking sword. You can't use a nasty weapon like that without having to pay the price sooner or later.
