Ruby- secret to catching Groudon????

okay, here's my problem, I managed to not see the Master Ball in the sub. and I'm in front of Groudon, I have no prob getting his health down, but the Ultra Balls won't keep him in, do I need to paralize him or put him to sleep? What???
Can I somehow get another Master Ball easily???

I know my suggestion may suck. But You need to go back and get the master ball. Not for Groudon, but for Latios. Um, I don't usually have a problem with Groudon....Maybe use Rain Dance to get rid of the Sun (I think it powers him up some how...or not) Paralyzing him may be better than putting him to sleep. Reducing his stats helps.

The Masterball is found in team M/A's Base. It is one of those teleporters you missed.

The base is off to the side of lily cove. The Sub is inside the base. The master ball is found in a room with 2 Electrodes and a Nugget.

When you get inside the base, there is a female Member walking back and forth, talking about being bored, and telling you to be careful. If you walk down past her to the left, there is a teleporter that leads you to a room of teleporters. Figure out the pattern, and you will end up in a room with 4 items on ground.

It seems odd-- But I caught Groudon when he still have 3/4 of his life left. I think getting them down to low health really pisses them off, and they don't want to be caught, try the way I did it.

yea, but didn't the base sink? I'm looking everywhere for it, I went all the way to the shard/stone guy even...

None that actually work. Well, The base is right above where the wailmers were before. Its that hole in the rock.

Just lower Groudons stats and Paralyze him. I caught mine with a Great Ball, so You shouldnt have too many problems once you do what I said.

...okay, well I still can't find this base... is it Lilycove, or slateport? I lost my guide, so I can't look it up, and since it sank, what is the alternative way to getting in? I found all 4 shards, but no base...

Go to Lilycove Beach, and go as north as you can. If you can't find it, you missed your chance.

The only alternative at this point is to trade for a masterball. And Start Raising a Wobbofet to catch Lati later.

If this is your only game, then you pretty much just need to move on. Put some stat rducing techniques on your pokemon. And just try to catch Groudon. Personally though, Groudon isnt very good. You are better off Just raising your team IMO.

ok here what I did

1st time I just beat him down and hurled some ultra balls while use posin to slowly kill him i manged to get him with a pokeball but i might just be luck. buy 40-70 ultra balls to get him.

make you team ALL with high defence and health and get a timer ball. wear groudon down [use rain dance to it helps to make him a weaker atacker] with burns confusin or anyhting take as long as you can when you on your last pokemon throw just a few ultra balls at him and them a timer ball. this one works jsut a bit better but it take A LOT more time.

okay, I managed to get Groudon, finally after X amount of weeks of trying, i could never get it. But it looks like I missed my chance with the masterball and the cave...dam, this means I'll actually have to work on my Saphire game, and look for my lost Emerald game...
