Hey, this is my first post on these forums.
I was wondering if Pojo will be doing a page for the Avatar game, since it has the same system as Pirates.
I have about 1.5 boxes worth of Pirates and 3+ boxes worth of Avatar, so if any info is needed to jump start the Avatar thing, I could help.
Also, are there any places online to get Pirates/Avatar singles (aside from eBay)?

As we have stated previously, we have no plans AT THE MOMENT for adding an Avatar page or forums. There are no current moderators playing the game, and there doesn't seem to be the same level of interest as in Pirates of the Caribbean.
I have not seen PotC singles anywhere except for Ebay, and that was only ONCE on Ebay.

Yeah, you probably assumed that Pojo was going to cover all of Quickstrike and not just Pirates, didn't you, Sword-Alchemist? Same here. Anyway, I've seen Avatar singles for sale on ******.com (http://www.******.com/avatarcards.html), but they're overpriced and there isn't much of a selection. Probably not worth it unless you're really desperate for some rare cards.
EDIT: Yeah, so that should say Toy wiz.com, without the space. I guess it's some filter designed to protect against advertising spambots.

Mein gott! Those are ridiculously expensive. Although it was nice to see UDE is planning a second set for both Pirates and Avatar.

yeah pojo wont be putting up a avatar page unless intrest in it picks up and starts getting popular
because a simple fact avatar is a animated tv show pirates is a movie not everybody can watch tv the time avatar comes on or even watch tv at all
while you can simpy go off to the theater on a weekend and watch pirates
so the next time they go to the store and see the potc packs and starters they might get intrested in the game
not the same with avatar as you have to be familiar with the characters by watching most if not all of the episodes to date

One of the great things about the Avatar show is its continuing plot--something that a lot of American shows (regrettably) don't have. Kind of odd though, since most of the highest grossing American movies have continuing plots (Star Wars, LotR, and now Pirates).
BTW, for those of you interested in Avatar, here is a good site with some card scans:

Simple fact: the relative popularity/availability of the Avatar animated series to the Pirates movie trilogy has no relevance to the mechanics of the Quickstrike trading card game system.
Besides, what you said about it being difficult to watch Avatar isn't true. It's just as easy to buy the Avatar DVDs as it is to buy a ticket for the Pirates movie, and then you'd be able to watch the show anytime you want. Anyone reading this messageboard has access to a computer and therefore Youtube.com (http://www.youtube.com/), where all the episodes are available for viewing.
It's nice if your interest in pirates or the Pirates movies leads you to try out Quickstrike, but Quickstrike is more than just Pirates merchandise; it's also a game. I thought Pojo was a website about gaming and not merchandise, but looking at the organization of the forums, I realize I was wrong. Why else would Wizkids's and Upper Deck's games be put in the same forum when they're completely different games?
Being familiar with the Avatar characters certainly doesn't require watching "all of the episodes to date," and it isn't even a prerequisite for playing the game. What are you going to do when I play my Closed-Hand Form advantage against you--say "Oh my, I'm not familiar with the characters on that card even though it's otherwise identical to the Pirates card Improvised Tactics. I guess I don't understand how it works."?

I'm sorry I lost my temper. I'm just really frustrated with this situation.
I bought the Pirates starter deck thinking that Quickstrike was a game that would allow me to play with characters from both the Pirates and Avatar universes. I was really sold on that concept. But maybe it was an illusion. Maybe I should start thinking the way everyone else does, that there is no Quickstrike: just two separate, incompatible games.

like wildwill said if there was enough intrest a page would be made but i dont think there is enough intrest for pojo to really care nor do i think they could get a stable team of reviewers to do the cotd
they are compatible its just you wont see many people on here doing that

me i don't like having Avatar cards in my Pirates Deck. I am a purist that way. however i love playing against people with Avatar Decks. Jack Sparrow vs. Aang? Like all great team ups, it is important that they misunderstand each other and battle first. Everyone wants to see two bad-asses fight, y'know?
Sorry, i got carried away... the point is they are totally compatible.

I think the same thing, dude. I'm not a fan of either series, but when I heard it was real time, I got both. I personally like the Avatar cards more, simply because Malu's Hot :P
Also, the cards are more strategic IMO
