View Full Version : How Come?

How come nobody likes playing the Rebel faction? It's my favorite! I used to play Seperatists, but I've decided to trade them away (Including Darth Sidius, the CotF version, Darth Maul on Speeder, Wat Tambor, Jango Fett, and Grievous Commander version). All I need for my New Republic is Luke, Jacen, and a commander or three. Anyway, back to my original question: Why doesn't anybody play Rebels?

Better coices, really. The Rebel's best figure is Han Solo -RH. While Han is an amazing unit, the Rebels simply do no thave the same support that the Republic, Imperials, or even Sepretists have. Allthough it should be noted that the Rebels are better than all the EU factions by far.

Antilles and Yoda of Dagobah are pretty good support, and Leia, Rebel Hero does pretty well for herself.

Sure, it isn't useless. But out of the four "movie factions", it is the worst.

Fourth best faction really isn't bad at all.

not only that, but "Rebel" doesn't really have very many interesting characters.

Heck, Old Ben Kenobi is just about the best character (next to Yoda, but its hard to compare them, seeing as how Yoda of Dagohbah has no offensive capabilities), and of course Solo - RH is the next best piece IMO

I got a Jacen and a Luke up for trades, neither have been played with. you got a trade thread up for Star Wars pieces?

No. Do I have to use a credit card to sign up?

Additional Comment:
Never Mind. I will set up a thread now.

Actually they are one of the better factions because they have so much going for them. HAL is one of the top squads at 100pts, and HAC makes one of the best 200pts if done right. Their biggest problem is that for them to be the most effective, you HAVE to have initiative. Without it half the power goes right out the window. Thier other problem is that all of their characters are very fragile and take the right person to move and build correctly.

Right now I have a solid 100 point Rebel squad, but I need some of the people on my trade thread to get a really good 200 point Rebel squad. If I could get Luke Jedi Master and Jacen my New Republic squad would be awesome.

Actually the best NR squads dont use Luke. For all his points he just isnt good enough. Jacen is good, but you have to learn how to play him and build the squad around him.

Basically, ya need plenty o' Twi'lek Bodyguards. (Side Note: Chewie, RH should have affinity for Han, allowing him to be in NR squads. Bodyguard for Jacen!

I've always opinionated that the suffering the Rebel faction endures two reasons. A lack of low-level grunts (with significant use), and a noticeable deficit in Jedi's to lead the legions.
