1. If you caught bayleaf as your starter you will get an oppertunity to catch the others after you complete the main story mode.

2. you need to beat 100 opponents via sing and double matches as well as purifying all 48 of the shadow pokemon. you will be rewarded Ho-Oh...you can get Lugia in XD Gale Of Darkness

3. You will be able to trade once you have complete the main storyline.
