Just wanted to ask. I want to raise a 3rd tyranitare...I know overkill but two of them are stuck in pokemon crystal version.

I am considering three move sets please tell me if you like them.

1. Crunch/Earthquake/Ice beam/Thundershock
2. Brick Break/Rock Slide/Ice Beam/thundershock
3. Crunch/Brick Break/Rock Slide/Thundershock

Just one specific question...Rock slide is a stab move right so which is more powerful for tyranitare earthquake or rockslide?

I am considering to go with option three but I now he will be vulnerable to dragon types.Jan

IMO, don't use illegal movesets, especially when you could get much better moves legally.

Brick Break is pretty useless, too low type coverage and not enough base power. Focus Punch does twice as much on switches. You could use a Substitute to use it from behind, since Tyranitar can get those handy 101 HP substitutes. Don't use Ice Beam and Crunch together, and don't use either of them without Thunderbolt. Special attacks work best when used in conjunction with Focus Punch and a Quiet nature with a bunch of special attack EVs stacked on. When using either Rock Slide or Earthquake, I'd layer them for better type coverage, and only use them in conjunction with Dragon Dance. Dragon Dance necessitates the use of Taunt to prevent (p)hazing, Will-o-Wisp, and Thunder Wave, and you'll want to pump up attack and speed. Jolly means you can beat Starmie after a single Dragon Dance, but Adamant just lets you hit harder. Either way, I'd say go with Leftovers for hold item.

I don’t use illegal movests, those were just ideas. I hate cheaters and do not use AR or sharks.

So ultimately I think this works best Tyranitare @ Leftovers Crunch/Rockslide/Thunder shock/Ice Beam!
I think Tyranitare is a tough pokemon and most people attempt to use Salemance using earthquake and the Ice Beam usually kills it in one or two attempts.

I was considering brick break because of its added effect to break barriers.

Seriously, the most lethal form in which Tyranitar can be played is @Leftovers Rock SlideEarthquakeDragon DanceTaunt. It's similar to Curselax in that it sets up easily and can sweep teams without fear once it's done so. Smogon also has quite comprehensive coverage (http://www.smogon.com/advance/tyranitar/strategy) on the topic of Tyranitar moveset and usage.

I'd go with:

Dragon Dance
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Taunt

Use DD on a switch and then sweep away.

Rock Slide already covers Salamence and most Dragons, so you don't really need Ice Beam.

If you're really paranoid about Flygon, you could actually use Ice Beam over Taunt. However, I'd much rather keep an edge against Weezing, Blissey, and Skarmory.
