I'm thinking of trying it out because I like the show and I get a holo for every pack I buy for $1.95 so should I give this game a shot? Give me a reason why, and will they sell this game to UDE if it gets popular enough?

dekoichi
07-18-2006, 09:29 PM
so you need a specific card to heal all ninjas, except ones with head?

Will UDE buy out this game or will this game stay BanDai? I don't want BanDai if this is gonna switch to UDE.

BSkullKid
07-26-2006, 01:23 AM
No idea. Bandai seems to be redirecting all its energy from other cgs to this game though (really only just Zatchbell...) so I doubt theyd sell it soon. I hope it gets sold to UDE for the mere fact that the SRs would be easier to find, and more tourneys would get hosted (None in my side of the state yet...)

I doubt Bandai will forfeit rights to one of the Naruto products since it holds the control over all Naruto games.

It an ok game. I used to play it when It first came out. But now, since im seeing all the same decks, I kinda stopped playing for awhile till the new set comes out. Overall, its a decent game..

So are any major company/production shifts gonna happen? What's a good/great stie for Naruto cards. How can you tell the rarity too?

DisposableHero
07-29-2006, 10:33 PM
You can tell the rarity of the card by the number of white dots at the bottom, and other things

Common = No white dots
Uncommon = 1 white dot
Rare = gold lettering + 2 white dots
Super Rare = Gold foil and lettering + 3 white dots
Starter deck card = 1 red dot

dekoichi
07-29-2006, 11:52 PM
deck rares have no gold lettering.
THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this game worth it? Is it gonna die like DuelMasters? In my state it died and I got sad.:(

BSkullKid
07-30-2006, 12:43 AM
We hope not. See, the difference between Naruto and Duel Masters is, that the Naruto anime owns, and shows no signs of slowing down, nor does the manga. Duel Masters, i believe, kinda sucked.

ShiningFox

Hmm... then maybe I'll give this game a shot.;)

Additional Comment:
Oh, are there any good sites for Naruto cards?

Rakath
08-02-2006, 10:11 PM
For buying, all the standard YGO sellin' places have Naruto now.

For info: http://www.bandaicg.com/naruto/home.php - Official site has card images, rulings, all that jazz.

ShiningFox

How much are the packs where you guys live?

dekoichi
08-03-2006, 01:17 PM
same as yugioh and magic, about 4.25.
I can buy them at borders, which is a store my family LOVEs going to, so I go there often. YAY! :D

BSkullKid
08-03-2006, 01:21 PM

dekoichi
08-03-2006, 01:26 PM

ShiningFox

 I can get the packs for $1.95 each at my Wal-Mart, first they were selling the decks for $9.99 each, and now they're selling packs too, and the packs are $1.95!

Wait... does that mean that Naruto cards are gonna die in my state just like Duel Master's did?:(

BSkullKid

ughhh, my target and walmart don't sell them.

b. skull, nice sig.

Thanks. And as for the game dying...

The thing its based off of (anime) is much more popular than Duel Monsters. Not to mention the thing anime was based off (manga) is much morep popular than the DM comics, i believe.

It has a lot more going for it, the only thing it needs is more hype and more tournaments to make the game more available to people all over the place. And advertisement would do this, but they dont have any yet. As of the moment, most players are either Naruto people, or CG people who heard about it on the underground and through word of mouf.

If this happens, it should be thriving in every state.

And 1.99 a pack seems improbable. You might be thinking of the TC packs, with clips from the show, not playable CCG cards.

ShiningFox
08-04-2006, 09:30 AM
$1.99 for a silver/gold pack, I searched it up and it looks like the playing game.;)

BSkullKid
08-04-2006, 01:08 PM
Then my friend, hoarde those 1.99 packs for as long as possible. It's like finding gasoline for a dollar a gallon.

ShiningFox
08-05-2006, 09:36 PM
Opps, I meant $1.95, and they come with 6 commons, 2 uncommons, and a rare, and a parallel holo.

BSkullKid, let's be friends.;)

Additional Comment:
Oh, the thing that's gonna make or break whether I play or not...

...

Are there 1st editions?:(

Yes theyre first editions, and before september, everything that is available is pretty much first edition, so as I said, hoarde those 1.95 packs. Since they are 1st ed, you could sell them on the internet for 5-6 dollars a pack, or just laugh in people's faces at how cheap they were. Win/win situation.

ShiningFox
08-05-2006, 11:08 PM

Knight X
08-06-2006, 09:43 PM
In the bottom left corner it either hbas 1st Edition or not if it doesn't it's Unlimited.

BSkullKid
08-06-2006, 11:33 PM
Its pretty plain and camoflauges itself at the bottom of your card. You have it though, since the only cards released so far are starter decks, promos, and frist edition, and you didnt say anything about starters. =/

ShiningFox

Additional Comment:

I bought some starters and a some packs and Im still trying the game out but it is worth a try. I play yugioh as my main game and I had reserves about starting a new game, but this is worth a try I suppose.
