Shouldn't this be an artifact creature that way you dont need the colorless clause

I'm trying to decide if Puff of Smoke is too good, and if Evermind is worth comparing it to. Puff of Smoke is basically Urza's Bauble remade; a 56-card deck. Dunno if it's exactly broken, though. Nah I reckon it's good.
I think Extus is a little too good, an Isamaru and an Extus on turn 1 would be teh b34ts. However, since every single deck would be playing four Extuses it would die straight away. Only to be replayed. Basically not a card that's conducive to a good Magic environment.

Why tack on a whole type just to avoid a very short line of reminder text? Lacking color fits Extus's barely-there flavor, but there's nothing particularly artifact-y about him.

Added.
Thank you :)

Read the flavor text. Think Glorious Anthem and its ilk.
The idea is that the Wisp itself is virtually immune to removal, but depends on the survival of another card to stay in play.

Originally I just had it as a card with cycling {0}, but that was obviously a bit too good. With this version you at least have to bother with mana to some extent.

Hm. In the metagame I play in I don't think he would be such a force (he doesn't even work with Skullclamp); useable, but not dominating. I could see it being problematic in type 2, though.
