amatuer question

i have noticed a couple of cards that say 'this creature can't attack players'. what is this supposed to mean? is it monsters or shields?? also, monsters with power attacker. do they get the boost when attacked or only when attacking.

p.s. isn't it a bit easy being able to attack your opponents shields when they have monsters on the field? well tapped ones as you can't attack untapped monsters. i mean. if they have no blockers, it's just far to easy. you can kill them so quickly. it doesn't make sense. surely you should have to destroy the monsters before you can get to the shields??

ok first of all the attacking question when they say attack a player they are refering to the shields because you are not a monster ( maybe you are lol jk) power attackers are only when you attack . Finally when you actually play a good game against experienced players youll notice that its not as easy as it looks :cool:

righto. thanx. just thought i'd check. do you know why you can't attack untapped creatures though? actually. that would make it far to easy if you go first. you could attack your opponents creatures before they are over summoning sickness stopping your opp from doing anything.

The game is not as simple as it first seems. If you play an experienced player with a good deck, you can expect one game to last probably about 20 minutes or more. At least from my experience, the 5 minute matches of Yu Gi Oh don't exist. At least for now, there is no way to win the game in the first two turns; this is because you have to resources out to pay for your creatures and spells.

In upcoming sets, there are cards coming out that add to your number of shields on the field, so games will last even longer then...but they will probably be even more interesting.

too be far you are on what the 2nd set. thats like mrd for yugi so i am sure games will get faster

i dont think this game is going to get much faster.
about the creatures that say "this card cannot attack players", that means it cant attack shields, but it CAN attack tapped monsters.
as far as it being easy to attack your opponent directly if they dont have blockers..well...thats why blockers were made...play em if you dont wanna get attacked. the game is set up very fairly for everyone i'd say.

Well, sometimes attacking directly isn't a good idea, it gives shield triggers plus card advantage, making a comeback easier than in Magic and prolonging the game.

s'pose. i mean i just got 2 mana crisis which annoys people if i get it as a shield trigger and i get annoyed if my opponent gets holy awe.
