My last draft (which was last Saturday), I opened a pack, and I don't remember all the cards in my 1st pack, but I remember the ones I was stuck trying to pick.
(The rare was crap)
-Mourning Thrull
-Sihana Ledgewalker
-Scab-Clan Mauler
-Dryad Sophisticate
I was originally thinking Mourning Thrull, but then the person sitting next to me showed off his 1st pack (Godless Shrine) so I really didn't want to give it to him.
After much Debate I went with Sihana Ledgewalker, but I have a feeling I made a bad choice. What would you have picked and why?

i would chose -Dryad Sophisticate jsut beavsu of all the karoos and maybe that buy with the duel land its unbalckable i lsot 2 2 of those before the ledge walker in my area always comees around but if you aren;t commited to colors maybe the thrul sut because it can work in many decks fun with taste of mayhem + 3 life thats fine 6 point swing

It really depends on what your Ravnica picks were. If you were in green I would take the sophisticate.

im kinda guessin u were gw first pack becaust thats the only way you should be considering this set of cards. I agre that the sophistocite is the right pick. the ledgewalkers usually table, or you can pick one up in a bad pack. the sophistocite is nearly always unblockable, and even when its not, it still isnt a bad card. the untargetability only makes a difference if you got something stupid like cloak or wurmweaver(?!?) coil, and wanted to use the creature as a win condition. even then, the ledgewalker will most likely table, while the sophistocite probably won't. i wouldnt conmsider the mauler first pick because its only good if you have a heavy red and green component, which you probobly cant assure yet. the thrull is decent, but not first pick quality, and it just paled in comparison to the other picks.

Yeah I guess the Dryad would've been the best for me then. Oh well, I can always learn from these situations.
I ended up G/U/R, b/c afterwards I started getting passed drakes like crazy and some great burns lol. Sophisticate ended up helping me poke damage early game but yeah I had no enchantments in my deck so it ended up as a filler. I guess the only real reason I didn't draft Dryad is b/c I feared it dying the second I played it, but hey that's Magic. Oh well, thanks for the input guys.

Personally, I wouldn't choose any of those cards as a first pick unless the rest of the pack was complete and total garbage. As a rule of thumb, small creatures aren't that good because they get ran over by cards like Seige Wurm and Streetbreaker Wurm too easy. If those were the only good cards on color I'd hate draft something. But if I was forced to choose among those, I'd go with the Ledgewalker because it's harder to get rid of.

No trust me, the cards were complete garbage. I usually always look for something big or something really good, but those were literally the only cards worth drafting. That's why I made this post lol.

I agree. None of those are first pick quality, especially at the start of the pack. At least pick a mana fixer, like a Karoo land or a Signet. Mana fixing is really powerful in RGD draft, I'm finding, and often just being able to play Magic uninterupted is enough to get past a lot of opponents.

the sophsticate is alot better in draft then the others because targeted removal is scares.. other wise the ledgewalker would of been good.. thrull is an ok card.. and can screw your opponent if he didnt draft a small flier..

I would have done the Mauler, but it really does depend on your color stuff. As stated before Big Dumb Fatties and kill are better then bears. But, yeah, just take the bear that goes best with what you picked I guess.
Or just take an uncommon...
