Yeah, it is! Man how do people afford to collect every single SWM...I thought heroclix cost a lot of money but man...this is a WHOLE lot...I wish I was made of money...:(

the starships in this set are presented in relative scale to each other and not scale with other Star Wars Miniatures figures.
I don't think anyone expected it to be any other way. To do that, the Executor would have to be ginormous!!! Like the size of a mansion or something.
I wonder how this will affect the SWM character battles. I'm thinking that with this, you could truly have a long-term conqure the galaxy game.

Yeah. SWM Costs > Heroclix Costs. =/
The only way people can afford to collect every SWM is:
1. They have a Job.
2. They Don't Collect ANY other game.
3. They go in debt.
Dr. Blaine:
That would be pretty sweet. IT'S A LANDING PARTY FROM THE Super Star Destroyer!
Wait, wasn't Vader on that ship? RETREAT! :p

I can see these sort of scenarios with this:
A Battle of Endor scenario where three different battles are going on:
One is on Endor, where the the Rebels, led by Han Solo and Leia Organa need to destroy the shield generator. (A character must stay in the "Shield Generator" room for 2 rounds.)
Another is the battle against the Second Death Star, where the Death Star is indestrutable until the shield generator is down.)
A battle in the Death Star with Luke Skywalker fighting Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. This battle doesn't start until 5 rounds into the scenario, and all characters have double hitpoints. When Luke Skywalker gets to 1/4 of his hitpoints, Darth Vader joins him. Darth Vader is defeated if and when the Emperor is defeated, and Luke must get to the Escape Pod (or a ship, depending on which map you wish to do this on) before the Death Star is destroyed in the space battle.
For a Rebel Victory: 1) Must Destroy the Death Star. 2) Must destroy the Emperor. 3) Luke must escape before the Death Star is destroyed 4) Han and Leia must survive.
For Imperial Victory: 1) Must protect the Death Star any means nessisarry until Round 20. 2) Emperor Palpatine must survive 3) Luke must be destroyed. 4) Han, and Leia must be destroyed.
The game is over when a) the Death Star is destroyed or b) Round 20. If neither side has its victory conditions, add up points, 1 per each victory condition. 2 points is awarded for the first victory condition (weather or not the Death Star is destroyed.) Whoever has the most points is declared the winner. If the points are tied, Imperial victory.
THAT would be pretty hot!
1. They have a Job.
2. They Don't Collect ANY other game.
3. They go in debt.
I have almost sixty figures and almost all of them are from Champions of the Force since starting a week ago, and:
1. I have a part-time Minimum Wage job
2. I collect Heroclix AND YGO, AND Pirates, and I may be starting D&D soon.
3. I still have almost 600 dollars in the bank and about 20 dollars in my pocket.
It's not an expensive game at all. Just buy minis seperately at local game and hobby stores, and buy a pack every once in awhile, and you can easily get a whole set.
I'm so gonna get this when it comes out and arrange a Galactic Conquest Tournament at my card store. Have, like, 8 boards set up (4 Ground, 4 Space), have around ten players or so (5 Rebels, 5 Imperials) and play out a whole match. Start out with one team on one planet, with the other team on another, and they can hyperspace between planets, etc, etc.
And wow, could you imagine a Death Star figure? If the SSD is 4x4, imagine how big the Death Star would be!

I think we were referring to collecting ALL the sets...that's pretty expensive with Clone Strike...but yeah you probably can collect easily if you buy a pack here and there...but to a lot of people...that's just too slow. ;) The hardcore collectors want them all now!!! ;)

There are also rumors that there will be a Death Star & it will be sold separately and will be as big as the AT-AT. It'll probably cost as much too if not more.

I can just imagine...."If a Small Starfighter scores a critical hit, Death Star is automatically destroyed."

Now that Bounty Hunters has been released, it's time to once again shift focus to the next big thing in SWM. That is, Starship Battles - Galactic Conquest! Out in November.
