Needs: Treeborn Frog in Graveyard, King Tiger Wanghu on field(face-up), no s/ts on fiels

On your standby phase, Treeborn Frog comes back. King Tiger Wanghu activates, destroying it. Then, Treeborn Frog comes back again, and Wanghu destroys it again. It repeats forever.

What do you guys think about this loop?

If “King Tiger Wanghu” is on the field when “Treeborn Frog” is Special Summoned, “Treeborn Frog” will be destroyed, but can be Special Summoned again with its effect during the same Standby Phase. Doing so without purpose is considered stalling and is a violation of Tournament Policy.

Infinite loops without purpose aren't allowed. if it does something then you can do it. Try something to get infinite life (wanted to use the puppeteer, but it doesn't work), combined with fire princess so you win.

anything like that and you can do it. it just has to have a purpose (other then stalling).

You probablly would have no chance of doing it, but the best thing I could see is to special summon or summon last turn a Cannon Soldier, play King Tiger Wangu, and then get Treeborn Frog in the grave. Then going through an opponent's turn while having no MT set special summoned Frog and then tribute for game. Of course you're opponent will probablly have other things in mind, especially if you used it game 1.

yes. notice that the illegal part of treeborn + KTW is that is has no purpose.
with DMoC combo, you're doing 400/500 dmg to your opponent every time you shoot it off with mass driver/cannon soldier...thats a purpose, so its legal.

if an infinite loop has no purpose, its just stalling, and is illegal.

If this situation were to occur in a regional event of some sort, the judge would rule in favor of the person with King-Tiger. They would say you cannot special summon Treeborn Frog out of the graveyard. To prevent this kind of "loop" from happening.

I think this thread can be locked now. It's been established - time and again - that an infinite loop that serves no purpose (which is the case here) is illegal. There's really nothing else to be said about this anymore.
