So here I was, estatic that my card shop had finally gotten the starters. Previously some friends at another store had shown me the game and lent me plenty cards to make my own deck, so I was well knowledged in the game.

So after arriving to the card shop, I bought 1 of each starter and began teaching the game to whoever was interested. Unfornately at the beggining there were only 2, but that quickly changed.

So we played with the starters and I was so amazed at how easy the game is to grasp. The players I was showing the game grew so much, that almost every game they stopped mid game to create/modify their own. It got to the point where my starter wasn't able to handle their decks, so i pulled out my "Genin Swarm" i had already made before coming.

I got wrecked. Although i'm sad I lost to a very new begginer, I'm so glad that everyone who was interested caught on so quickly. Our little area got so much attention. People were just drawn to us playing, it was a blast.

At first I though the Naruto Tcg was only a game for those who are fans of the naruto anime, but I was wrong. The main guy I was playing the entire day knew nothing about it, and was horribly buchering the names of the ninja, but it was fun.

As for the game itself, here is what I have observed:

- The player who goes first has a huge advantage. Not only are they able to play higher ninjas before their opponent, but they also get to block their opponents ninja with their higher ninjas.( ie. if I have a 0 and a 1, they only have a 0 to block, but when they attack, I will have a 0 and a 1)

- Once you're down, you're down. Since the game is premature and they aren't many game-breaknig effects, it's extremely hard to comeback while losing badly.

-One of the few rules I dislike about the game, is that only one team, can block one team. I know it's logical, and essentially fair, but I have lost plenty games because my opponent dissabmbled his teams, and sent EVERYONE out to battle. Since I can't reform, and I have teams stacked based on team power, I can only block 2-3 of the ninja and the rest hit me for reward.( unless I'm wrong with the rules or something)
*guess i was wrong* lol
-Escape Jutsu is awesome.

I totally agree. I had never even watched Naruto before and as soon as I saw friends playing the game I decided to give it a try and I really liked it. Soon after I started watching the Anime and got hooked on it.

As for one of your observation you can only send out a max of 3 teams to battle.

Dude that is so cool that you love this game and got alot of ppl involved already. In my area only me and a couple of friends play (that i know of). I find it cool how a non-Naruto fan likes to play the game (which gives me hope that this game will draw more ppl into it).

Once you're down u arent necessarily down and out. I've mounted a few comebacks aswell as my friends.

About the Ninja swarm thing, i feel yor pain. In one game my friend left me with one Ninja and he dissasembled his team and took enough rewards for the win.

Well Green Lantern, i hope you can recruit as many ppl as you can into this game, i know i sure will.

When the game first came out, me and a few of my friends started playing. After a while, more kids became interested in playing, and baught starter decks. Now we have 8-15 players and are starting tournaments soon.

This game is great! Its nice to see that other people like it too.

About going first: You're right, whoever goes first usually wins the game. I think that there should be a ruling like in VS. where each player takes a turn, then they battle. I'm going to try that with my friends tomorrow.

BTW: Everyone should start posting their decks on here, maybe Naruto will get its own section like YGO and Magic!

That would be pretty cool, but we have to wait for the game to catch on. It's only a matter of time though.

Also, just recently I got my other friend into this game as well. He's looking to make a Naruto deck (possibly something with lightning/fire elements maybe?)

All he has to do is just read up on it (instructions on gameplay), and do a couple of demo matches, just so he can understand. Honestly, this game has a mixture of magic/yugioh combined (to an extent), so it shouldn't be hard to teach him at all.

I'm also looking forward to some upcoming tournaments, but sadly, I may have to work on those days.

Some one started a tourney in my local area, so I thought "Why not?" and grabbed some starters. I got sucked in right away. It's a fun game with nice mechanics, and the decks you can already make with the strageys are pretty high for only having one set out! It's an awsome game, and I hope to get into it.

Well when hte game first realsed, It sold out very fast. They didn't plan on the game being as popular as it was ( since most others like Teen Titans were bad).

So they underproduced the cards. I belive now they sell them at:
Target
Walmart
Local Card Shops ( may be sold out)

I even hear Bandai is ceasing all Organized play on all games except Zatch Bell: TCG and Naruto: TCG. Hopefully this is a good thing. If they managed to get the ball rolling as well as UDE has done with Yugioh/VS System and a site like Metagame.com ( BandaiCg.com is geting there) then things are looking very well for the future of the Naruto: TCG.
