Do not use any image from Meowth's site as it is considered stealing bandwidth, and even though that is there problem it isn't right to do.

It's really stealing bandwidth no matter what site you do it from. And while some may say it's the webmasters problem, more bandwidth means the webmaster has to pay more money, and if they don't have enough of if the website's host simply doesn't like them using that much bandwidth, it can get the site, including the pictures, removed.

Be nice and upload all avatars and sig pictures to your own webspace. :)

@Noelor: You can get free web space at places like geocities.com and angelfire.com. Save the picture you want to your computer, register for an account on one of those sites, and upload the picture. Rename the file so that the ending is .txt instead of .jpg or .gif. Then, view the file to get a link to it, and put in in your avatar, signature, wherever. There are better hosts, most don't require you to rename picture files to remote link and you don't even have to register for some. You may also want to ask your ISP (Internet Service Provider) if they gave you any free web space when you signed up - most do.

@shineyaltaria: Ah, didn't know that. Maybe there's a certain chance that the child will have IVs closer to that of it's parent or something? That way, parents with high IVs would have a better chance of producing a child with the around the same IVs, but still a chance of producing a child with low IVs...

Yes the evolved form of the pokemon would retain the same amount and dis6tribution of the pre evolved forms.

About them EVs:

I'm not sure if I all ready said this, but in the cave of origin (place where you catch Groudon/Kyogre) entrance, there are wild Zubats (with the occasional Golbat.)
On the route east of Mauville, there are Zigzagoon, Linnoon, Wingull, Electrike, and Manectric. (Unfortunately, there is also the occasional Kecleon.) All of those provide speed. For special attack, I usually battle Spinda. (Rather than train with the Macho Brace, I put on the spell tag and play the black flute. This is an excellent excuse to go hunting for some ash, I have glass secret base decorations that are very impressive [1 table+4 chairs=w00t!])

Burn reduces their HP by 1/8... it also lowers their attack by one level each turn, which is why Dusclops usually has WoW and Calm Mind...

Mine did. They probably all come with the power adapter since you can't use any regular batteries. Check with your store to be sure of everything included. I got the link cables too as part of the deal.

I always found the GBA (and the GB too) were kind of hard to see unless you tilted them at a angle depending on the light. But the SP comes with a powerful internal screen light that is so bright that at night in pitch dark you can actually walk around the house with it acting kind of like a small flashlight. When using the light, your battery will only last half as long until the next charge, but I still end up using it most of the time anyway. It makes seeing the screen a lot easier on the eyes.

Edit: Fallen Ronin; Thanks for the Tip. No, I don't think it was a double post. I was very dissapointed in the glass chair when I got it. I guess it just wasn't what I thought it would look like. Maybe the glass desk is nicer? IDK since I never got one. Out of all the ornaments in the game, including the BT Shields, I like the Glass Pidgeot the best by far (that you get for 5 paintings in the museum). It is really cool to look at!

The glass table is 4X4 tiles. And yes, the Pidgeot statue rocks. Along with the BT shields. And my two tents (one of each color). (Once my friend gets his glass statue, I'm trading him five rare candies for it, just like his tent.)
I also like the "interactive" ornaments (the tents, stands, slides, etc.)

this a question i've had for a while....what are the top 2 nature for a feebas? i've tried mating 2 of them but i've never gotten a modest feebas....i've hatched over 30 eggs and no modest feebas....so i need to know the 2nd best one...also if modest isn't availiable will the second nature be as good? thanks!

IVs and nature both have their share in a pokemon's stats...

if I had 2 Machamp and Machamp A had a Modest nature and an Attack IV of 31 while Machamp B had an Adamant nature and an Attack IV of 0, Machamp B is still going to have higher Attack...

A = (260 + 31 + 63) * .9 = 333
B = (260 + 0 + 63) * 1.1 = 355

In the Mauville pokemon center, there is a different guy, (depending on your ID number, I think). He can be the Bard, Giddy, and others including the DECORATION TRADER! Swap records with your friends and you'll swap the dude in the pokemon center. My buddy has decoration trader, gave the decoration trader the red tent in exchange for the tire, we swap records, I trade a jump mat for the red tent...BOTH TENTS ON ONE CART! (I traded my friend five rare candies in exchange.)

The dude at Mauville can also be the Bard. He sings a song for you (turn up the volume and put your ear to the speaker to hear his high-pitched "voice") and lets you change one word. Swap records with a friend, have them change a word, swap again, you change a word...this is the resulting song we got:

Why do you need a chart? It's much easier to read lists than charts, for me at least. The only good thing about charts is that they save space and look cool.

I was able to change the trendy saying just now. It was still "Beautiful Altaria" from when I changed it on 2/8 at around 11:00pm, and the dude let me change it so now that's settled.

I'll keep an eye on it now to try and see when it changes next on its own.

1:I think you should add 'IMO' to the abbreviations section. 2:Pokemon Forever has data on how the game determines whether you should recieve an egg after every two hundred and something steps. I think you should copy and paste that instead of the rather vague data about the likelinesses according to the sayings. 3:By Lanturn in the Weakness/Resistance of Dual-Types Chart, you noted ( Volt Absorb- Elec attacks raise foe's HP (if not full) instead of doing damage ) That gives the impression that if you use, for example, Thunderbolt on it, your HP will be raised ! Change it to
'Elec attacks raise own HP' or 'Elec attacks raise HP'. If you like you could add 'up to 1/4 of own HP.

Ok i am a tiny bit confused for the most part i think im finding out the mystery here.

Today when i turned on ruby it was an auto phrase Age I've Arrived (they picked it) i changed it to "Azurill BodyGuard".I tried chaning it 8 timesthen i shut it off (withotu saving). I turned it back on went there again and the saying was Still "Age I've Arrived" i tried to change it to "abra aron" but it then said i personally like "Age I've Arrived" more. Then a few more tries then it accepted "Air Lock ALT. Color". -Im still working on this
-Now it let me do "Beatiful Beauty"
-Also "Apologize Appreciate"

I think the trendy saying coems from a random topic each time. So some1 please try this out because im 80% sure this works because i have run some tests and it worked for me. So pick 2 words for each topic and keep tryign to change them going in any order of topics if this is random out of those topics then maybe this will work.

If you can get it to kind of match the size of all the other posts than that might stop them from complaining. You've improved it a lot already. I think that one side is longer than the other or something compared to everyone elses still.

See how here are two sections on this screen; one where we post and one to the left that has our screename and avatar and stuff. THey are shaded differently (like one is darker).

With me so far?

Now look at your post along side mine and you'll see that the shaded parts (the two sections) are different lengths. That's what I mean by longer. YOur left section is shorter and right section is wider. That's all. No big deal. You fixed the scrolling so maybe the pms will stop lol.

When I first came here I tried to put my shiney altaria in the avatar but it was no-go since it was like 64x64 and the size limit is 60x60. Anyway, I'm going to see if there is a shiney altaria image that I can put there from the site you're using.

I went there. Thanks. Looks like they have the regular one but not the shiney (as you said). Guess I'll just be glad that I can at least have the one I already do.

I think I found an error in pokefor's Egg Group listing. It has that metagross and shedinja are in a group ('mineral' I think). But the guide says they have no group, and when I look at them they are genderless. So I think that their egg grouping is wrong for those two pokemon.

I know this is OT for this forum but can anyone tell me about yu gi oh in like one paragraph. I was looking at the other forums and can't get over how popular it is. I looked on some of the boards too but there doesn't seem to be anything to answer this dumb noob question of mine. And I didn't see anywhere to ask. Is it all cards/decks? And why is it way more popular than everything else (if you go by number of posters)?

with yu-gi-oh you make decks of unlimited amoutn of cards and destroy your opponents monsters. Once they lose their life points of 8000 they lose the game. A game consists of 3 Duals i think.( 3 matches). Cards look cool.

I think it was like around three days. Luckily I posted both when I changed the saying to "Beautiful Altaria" and also posted when it changed on its own. So i guess we can just look and see how much time passed.

I'm still trying to get used to the different times of posts and stuff on this board. I changed a setting in my profile or somewhere to be like the time is where I am but It isn't. Plus it is different when I'm logged in thean when I'm lurking. My clock is useless.

Let us know if it does. Just because it changed in 3 days (or whatever) for me this first time dosen't mean it always is like the same time. The only way to know is by doing it repeatedly and then we'll see if it is always around the same amount of time or not.

i dont get i got caught with my banner but you absol and everyone with a picture/ banner in their signiture violates the rules to. it can be 400x60 and no1 obeys that but i get something said to me :(

Yeah, same here. Mine is 64x64 too. I guess they don't consider that a violation after all. Who knows. Anyway, venusaur, you have an avatar that you like right? So that's something to be glad about. If I can find a shiney altaria that will fit I'm changing it to be like it used to be on the old board.

Edit: Ok I checked it out. A couple of the mods put up things about avatars and it looks like what they do is get one then download and 're-seize it' to make it smaller. Then they use their web space to upload it and link to there. I don't know if he's doing that or not but have asked so we'll just stay tuned.

Well I got my answer. Looks like the only way to get a pokemon image in the avatar is to re-size it.

Upnetwork is still there and the link works. I just tried it form the thread. Click and see. I also have their pokedex bookmarked and that also still works. (remember it is a dot-net url extention not dot-com)

Yeah that's why I posted it could be different than what happened to me.

Looks like it probably is random, but maybe with a minimum time of 24 hours or so before it changes regardless of if it is auto or we change it. In other words, whenever it changes, it cannot be changed again for at least 24 hours.

LOL. I guess that maybe you didn't notice that it was me who started that thread. I found it on page 7 btw.

I started it to ask if there was a one-click list somewhere for all pokemon EVs and Cooltrainer Josh reminded me about the one at the pokefor site. It is 386 too. So there is no need for it on the Help thread after all.

I seem to remember though that the list was not completely reliable, that there were some EVs for certain pokemon that were reportedly not correct, and that for training purposes, it is best to use one of the other pokedexes (or at least to double check before you start EV training).

I have a question about Shedinja's IVs. Since it appears 'out of nowhere', will the IVs be totally random just like any wild pokemon? Or will it inherit some from the nincada that evolves into ninjask?

Here is how to use the IVs Calculator on the Pokefor site to calculate your IVs:

First: Select the pokemon you want to calculate IVs for from the drop-down menu, and put in its nature and level.

Second: Each row has 12 columns; two for each of the six stats. Each stat has an ability column and one called effort level. Put each of your pokemon’s stats in the ‘Ability’ columns. If your pokemon’s Evs are 0 (you have not battled with it), just leave all six sub-columns called EffortLv blank. Otherwise, if you know your effort values then you can put them in.

Third: To calculate your IVs, just click on “Find IVs”. The higher the level of your pokemon, the more accurate the results are.
