Hey all i am thinking about quitting yu-gi-oh for the new Naruto card game and i had a few questions before i will quit though
1) Is there a Gaara set or buyable deck out there yet?

2) Is it hard to start up? because i don't want it to be a hassle

3) Do you have to have the new sets GOD cards and waste all your money to have a good deck like in Yu-Gi-Oh?

4) Do you think this game will last or do you think people will just start to spend money on it when it flops?

Well, I just recently quit ygo for Naruto and I don't know as much as others, but what I know is:

1) The set with gaara is not out, but will be sometime in July.
2) It wasn't hard for me to strt up. Although I'm finding it difficult to get certain cards, its no where near as worst as ygo.
3) Naruto is a very balanced game. I think no matter what comes out in future sets, older decks will still be viable, but, theres only been one set so far, so its hard to tell.

Hope i helped. Nice to see another converter

The other Sasuke starter deck comes with different cards in the side deck. Same for the 2 different Naruto starter decks. Some cards are only exclusive to a certain starter deck and don't come in packs. Other then thats its the same.

Here's my answers to your questions:

1. Gaara comes out next set. Next set is sometime this coming month (July), which is Coils of The Snake. Very interesting set if you ask me.

2. IMHO, this game has a weird mixture of magic/yugioh involved. It might sound tough by just reading from the instruction manual, but once you get playing, it's really quite a breeze.

3. I was unaware of this game having any GOD cards in this game lol. Having the most expensive cards in your deck does NOT gurantee you an easy victory. It takes plenty of thought on how you want to plan your attacks, combine teams, spend your chakra, and much more.

4. I have no real answer to that question, but if you ask me, Naruto is gonna bring death to yugioh (that's my opinion). Seriously, this game is already sold out nationwide, and just finding a pack is hard enough. That should tell you something.

i dont mean to be negative here but bandai printed sooo little of it my gaming store ordered 12 boxes and we got 1,so i think it were a smart bussnis choice from bandai to make people think that "omg its so popular alredy since its sold oute,we got to try it" but i dont think it will bring death to yugioh i think yugioh will kill itself sometime in a couple of years, when they dont have anymore stupid ideas for the anime ygo will go under. but if naruto get the right advertising and support fast i think it could hit big,but when a game is big is when you can get it all over the world, but naruto is just in japan and america, but we`l se whats happening.
and welcome to the game, hope you have really fun with it,its a great game!

If it's as popular and cool as everyone says it is, it will soon bring death to YGO. I mean, the only reason little 3 year olds play is because of the anime, and even the anime stinks(but GX is okay)! So when the anime stops, a third of the population of YGO players will quit. Then all teh older players will be disgusted by thge amount of n00b cards, like Destiny Heroes and Elemental Heroes. That'll leave 10 and 11 year old kids who will soon get bored and move on. It's a never ending cycle.

The next set (Coils of the snake) comes out July 28th and will have pre-release events held by local Bandai Mejins (Judges). Gaara and his siblings (as well as Orochimaru and his 3 man goon squad and Kabuto) will be in the set.

The game has a unique mechanic but after 2-3 games you will be ok, just a few odd rules to contend with.

This is NOT a game where the most money wins; the nasty decks out now focus on the Rares and uncommons NOT the superrares to win, it's plausible to win with a well built deck off a single booster box, maybe even less.

The major tournament prizing is Phenomenal! over 4 grand in prizes being given out at origins and again at anime expo 2 weeks from yesterday.

The demand for Naruto has been intense, the supply was NOT limited, I deal directly with distributors and they had adequate stock when it hit stores; most stores sold through their stock on the first day. Several shops in my area who deal directly with distributors were able to acquire 10-12 boxes; these lasted about 2 days, their re-stock sold out almost as fast.

No tournament in AZ is giving packs as prizing since it's still terribly hard to get the cards even after bandai pulled 2 mass market shipments to resupply the hobby stores. It's not a marketing ploy; it's supply and demand... they are just running out.
