I just read Chapter 6 of the GX Manga on Janime's site and I really enjoyed it.

- Our beloved Tenjoin-kun is gorgeous as ever.
- I liked how that other female Blue Student reacted jeleous about Asuka

- The Duel Judai vs. Asuka

As expected, Asuka didnt use her Anime Cards, even if the theme still seems to a Cyber Girl Deck. However, Cold Enchanter might be in fact a spellcaster.

Twas anotehr great chapter. The GX manga is more and more what the anime should have been, which is everyday Academia life. It has a laid back style with awesome artwork! I'm loving every last bit oif it.

Sho is just adorable looking, and better yet all of the girls as so sexy! A little mis-proportioned, but it just makes them all the better in my opinion.

I love the funny faces the characters make all of the time. :D

Judai, Misawa, Asuka, Manjyome, all of them so full of life!

I could vent for hours how much better this is then the anime version...

This chapter'll be harder to understand without translation. Looks great though.

Anybody else get the feeling that if Viz translates the GX manga, it'll put it in the 'E for Everybody' range rather than the 'T for Teen', resulting in it getting edited? There's not too much objectionable content, but I think Viz will want to target it for the largest audience possible.

You can also feel that this manga is definitely supervised by Takahashi-sensei.^^

It's absolutly the masters style...

Indeed, its just great! :D

Also with the target audience, if it is indeed targetted towards the masses and editted we'll have all the more reason to attack 4kids for the way they handled the dub originally. It all links back to them when it comes down to it. That's more or less why Duelist is editted as well.

Personally I am more upset that Viz will probably give them the 4Kids dub names, lol. That was a crime that should not have to be repeated in other mediums... :(

I like the chapter alot, lol. Asuka's new monsters are interesting and seem to hint at her decktype being ice queen field control, which is very different from her Cyber Sporty/Cyber Angel deck. I think that the only thing that disappointed me was that Asuka had to square off against Judai, as the manga is repeating the anime's initial habit of having Judai in every duel consecutively, lol. I would have liked to see Asuka duel that new girl...

Well they are still trying to develop Judai as a duelist and a character. He really needs to duel everyone at least once in the early chapters, so he can develope a kind of relationship through dueling with that particular character.

The anime has gone overboard in the fact that Judai doesn't need to duel every single character that appears. After you develope characters and plotline its time to even out the playing field and give everyone a chance at bat so to say.

...which makes me glad that the German Version of the Original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga isn't edited and that the names weren't changed. *Gives chocolate to poor americans*

That's more or less why Duelist is editted as well.

I'm just glad that they're finally slowing down Duelist to being released every two months instead of every other month. Volume 14 was much cleaner, neater and there were no screwups. I can live without the swearing as long as they keep this up.

Asuka: If it is released edited then you can bet some people are going to lose their breasts...

That won't be happening as long as I'm around.

VIZ would be sent quite a few threat letters possibly packaged in with some human body parts or dead animals if they were to go that extremist on us.

Ironically, I think the fanservice Academia uniforms actually hinder censorship, lol. While they are very unrealistic and form-revealing, they don't actually reveal skin, eliminating the typical manga/anime taboo of showing bare cleavage or thighs, the reason Mai received so many constant edits. In addition, Mai only required edits due to her outfit in certain poses or angles, while the Academia uniform would have to be editted and redrawn from every angle, in every scene, for every girl. They defeat the censors by giving them so much work to do that it costs too much time and effort to do the work at all, lol.

It is the equivalent of an hypothetical anime episode that consists entirely of Bakura and Malik graphically killing people for a half-hour, lol. There is so much of it that you can't dub it down without getting rid of the entire episode, lol.

I must admit the GX manga is much better already than the GX anime has ever been and already Asuka has a much more descriptive deck with her Ice girl theme than the anime Cyber sporty theme with no true themed M.T support and the sudden switch of Cyber angel ritual monsters being thrown amongst them with no real reason just gave it a even more random feel.

Still I like the 2 new Ice girl monsters so far and hope to see more next chapter along with some decent M.T support.

Same for the French version *high five* Hurray for european mangas!!!

I hope Kana pics the manga up like they did with Yu-gi-oh! R. I'd buy it.

The only sad thing about this kickass manga is that there is almost NO CHANCE of seeing any of these cards out in a TCG friendly way ><

This manga is great! Its such a breath of fresh air compaired to the garbage the anime has given us for over a year!

The characters personalities are being shown for what they really should be and the slight changes in there decks and characteristics makes the feel of the academy world much better!

> Sho is adorable, I've fallen in love with his kawaii-ness :3

>Asuka and the other girls are just..well...very well endowed O_O

I'd burn them alive if that ever happened.
That's one thing I hate more than anything...

Anyway, I loved the chapter. Asuka is my favorite character and she seems to get sexier with each new chapter. I love the chapter name too and her monsters are cool. I love the GX manga. It's so great. :D

The ViZ version used most of the original names (at least for the volumes I've looked at).

Agreed, although, Misawa has the tendency to look like a child molester in a lot of frames. Perhaps its the "true" side of Misawa that can't be aired in the anime, lol.

The GX manga reminds me of what was great about early GX epsidoes, and it is definately the way the series was meant to go.

Why are the characters so much more well rounded and human in the manga, I wonder? I actually like manga Judai, and even though his newer heros aren't nearly as sexy as his anime heros, the fusion support he's sporting definately makes up for it.

I like the idea of the duel queen having ice monsters. It fits the cold hearted machine, or b***h, equation so well, which is how Asuka's personality comes off sometimes. Also, all the female duelist and female monster art is pretty nice, and very welcome for someone like me. I'm a bit frightened at the amount of detail done on the boots. This team is obviously very fashion conscious.
