Can SLAKING learn this or not...Breeding? Pokedex? Update? what is it?

Ive played pokemon colosseum and the Slaking that Evice uses has Skill Swap, A very good move on this pokemon. Now my pokemon ruby guide says he cannot learn skill swap. So I tried breeding him with some of the colosseum pokemon, such as Espeon and Stantler, who can both aquire skill swap through TM, and they breed and the eggs hatch out slakoths, but they do not have the skill swap on them. Can he learn it or not?, and if he cant then why is Evice' pokemon the exception?

i doubt they will let u have skill swap......if u traded itto ruby with that move....SLAKING would be faaar to powerful......

rare hunter x is right.he would be too powerful.with great atk and def ratings [note:im not talking about yugioh]plus with skill swap he might get a killer abillity in exchange for his ability [isnt his ability loafing around or something?]all in all i know his abillity sucks so with his good stats and good abilitys he could become quite the power house.

I looked in the strategy book and Slaking doesn't know Skill Swap. Man, that sucks. If he did, I would've put it on him quicker than a hobo on a sandwich.

In a 2 vs 2 battle, Slaking's partner can skill swap Slaking's ability off of Slaking and will receive truant. This can be very effective. Since Slaking cannot learn skill swap, that is the only way to get Truant 'off' of him for a battle.

the downside to using skill swap is that u can'tuse Slaking as a choice bander...but i guess being able to atk every turn balances it out...

I use alakazam as a psudo passer with psychic, skill swap, reflect, and light screen. That way, Slaking gets syncronize, and when zammy comes back out, he has it too.

But am I wrong? Doesnt the slaking in the game (colosseum) have skill swap!? How is that possible? thats all i want to know. also, could updating the pokedex in ruby have anything to do with it?. maybe once the new games are out (fire red) then new moves become available?

Slaking is not capable of learning skill swap. Only another pokemon can swap it off him. That's what happens in Collosseum.

For example, the Slaking in Colosseum at the Lv 100 Tower Challenge is partenered with an Alakazam (2 on 2 battle). The very first thing the 'kazam does is skill swap his Slaking partener. Then Kazam loafs every other turn and Slaking attacks every turn.

Kecleon works well with Slaking in 2 vs 2 too. Skillswap your slaking and skillswap opponent with the standard Kecleon.

either that or the game could jsut have an unfair advantage over you........i mean remember that Dragonite lance had back in R/B it knew barrier....from what i know it can;'t learn it.....and Aerodactyle knowing rock slidee in G/S

Slaking couldn't be a tier three pokemon without truant. Unless of course it was a legendary and a once off catch. Otherwise catching a slakoth would be similar to catching Groudon or Kyogre.

if slaking knew skill swap id use it with Medicham Slaking with 2X atk DEADLY with Slash and scope lens could kill just about n e thing.

(I DESPERATLEY need the help of someone with AR codes for colosseum. I need infinite time flutes, and they key item time flute code from the action replay site won't work. If you know the code, or can help me to get infinite time flutes, PLEASE tell me. I can't cure pokemon I've snagged using the snag all enemies code without it!)

I just fought Evice 3 times to make sure and his Slaking does NOT have skill swap. The moveset is

Slaking
=Crush Claw
=EQ
=Bulk Up
=Aerial Ace

Evice's Slowbro DOES have skill swap though, so maybe that combo came out and Slowbro used skill swap on Slaking IDK. Scizor does have Silver Wind like you say, but neither Evice's Slaking nor Rask's Slaking (Tower LV 100 2 on 2 challenge) have skill swap, at least not in my game.

When i battled Evice for the second time he had Slaking and Slowking out together. Slowking used Skill Swap not Slaking. I got made cause Slaking could attack every turn. I hate Slaking cause its stupid looking and annoying. Vigoroth is so much cooler. I like it when Machamp comes out and uses EQ which knocks out Slaking for me.
