Why Naruto Will Excel...

Here are a few of my reason's for why naruto will excel...
a lot of the new ccgs I see coming out have what I think is a flaw, they distribute cards, make kids wait, and when they come out take WAY too long to begin organized play... people become disinterested and if there is no promise of organized play people won't even by. Bandai had the naruto tcg tournaments posted 2 weeks ago and the game isnt even officially released. Someone like me, decided to purchase some pre-orders just because tournament play was guaranteed. Right now i'm seeing Avatar go down the SAME road as Shaman King, the site continues to say coming soon and people simply just get fed up... ANYWAY... another reason I think it will be a success is because something a lot of tcgs dont do is hold off and creat new types of cards. Most tcgs just make new effects that can drastically change gameplay but the fact that naruto has new types of cards coming out in future sets is great. Well, thats my story!

Yugioh is getting boring FAST...Pokemon is just for collection lately...so Naruto is coming out at the right time :)

i have still a bad feeling that it wont do so well and one of the main reason is bandai,they have killed almost 10 super popular ccgs from japan,

Molla let me explain something to you mr rain on everyone's parade. If ANY product a company makes is making money, either that president is really dumb or they will do what it takes to make it survive! Regardless of ANY planning ahead, if a TCG does not cell, even if organized play has been set up, it will not be worth the trouble, the survival of tcgs is up to us as well!

imo this will not last or at least in my area. the show isnt as popular as yugioh so you cant recruit little kids who are the heart and soul of a card companies economy. dont think i hate the show i love it. im not gonna waste my money on something that will be short lived. in my area no1 watches anime really or Naruto for that matter.

You dont really have to play if you dont want. Naruto isnt popular because its not on local TV. And theres way better stuff to watch than anime if you have cable (Nba playoffs, ****..)
If FMA is alive after 6 months, I believe naruto can last a lot longer.

Naruto's popularity is mostly because of the japanese anime, not the english...so we wont be seeing as many kids as Yu-Gi-Oh....but maybe thats a good thing ;)

All I can say is: I bought a box of Path to Hokage! Havent opened it yet but where I got it from it is selling like the last bottle of water in the Sahara desert. Trust me no matter what you think, Naruto will thrive.

No card game is gonna thrive the same in some areas as others. Regardless, Naruto is having tournaments in NY every week so I will show up. I don't care about the fanbase as long as there are people to play. if only a hundred people play and I get to play 20 every week i'll continue to play.

Like many others, This TCG will die. For the Sole fact that Yu-Gi-Oh TCG is still around. Like many others that tried to come in, at the same period of Yu-Gi-Oh, It will be Hype for a little then Die. Cough Duelmaster, DBGT, Cough with an exception Of VS TCG

I dont think it will get insanely pricey, but Shuffle and Cut Games will be stocking singles on our website and in our two locations to help with all your Naruto Card Game needs! (could I have used that as a cheaper plug or what?)

believe me this game is tons of fun. If you take the time to play the game at least twice you will be addicted, its more fun than YGO.

oh so true, people take YGO too seriously now a days. I refuse to play YGO unless the other person agrees to play without lifepoints, because if you arent keeping track of lp then you can have more fun.

yugioh's gameplay just isnt fun anymore. There's nothing I can experience that i have never been through.

Yu-Gi-Oh is bound to collapse eventually because there are some game mechanic flaws. One being that cards have no specific cost to play. Whereas Magic has Mana limits, Naruto has Turn Counts and Chakra, VS has resources, Yu-Gi-Oh has only little things like LP payements and monster tributes. These are so easily achieved that the best cards can afford to be combined into one deck consisting of the best cards. This will eventually lead to destruction of originality.

I think Naruto has the potential to excel, but only if Bandai puts the effort in it.

Well, I bought a deck today, and who knows... I think it's gonna do fine, but I still have to finish reading the rules for the game.... And the cards look cool, and it won't be hard to remember the names... lol that's just funny.

I think I might buy a pack or two today when I go back to the hobby shop for the Yugi tournament... Yea, they still have packs and stuff, but when I got there, they had, like, 3 of each starter deck left, Naruto and Sasuke...

yeah, i still play shaman king and zatch and hell, even duel masters tho that game seems to b floundering fast,lol. i dont play cuz they r popular games, i play cuz i like diversity, hell, i even play neopets and cthulu, tho not as fun, they r cheap enough and definitely easy enough to play.

so i might or i might not play this game, i think ill wait a year or so, its not sellin at my store, and im surei can get the same cards in a year as i can now, so its no big deal if i dont start playin right away.....hell i still even have the entire collection of the original star wars game, the one game that was extremely popular before magic was, hell, it was just too adult for most ppl and well, still too damn complicated, but the decks r fun and take alot of strategy to em, so it stays a fun game to play. but this game should do alright, i mean, just like pokemon it has a decent show goin for it( i dont include yugi cuz its not decent,lol) and if they would have a better set time for it so everyone knows when its on then more and more will watch, and if cartoon network would promote the ccg once in a while it might even help bring in more ppl, iono, just thinkin out loud i guess.

duel masters is hotter than ever right now,it has grown very much hell,the game made 4 million bucks in 2 weeks ,but i got to agree that games is fun you should play it if you have somebody to play with regardless of its popularity
