Tournament Rules...

Everywhere I tried to look for tournament rules, I always find a .pdf format file... but I don't have adobe acrobat reader... or anything else that can read that format..

You see, my friends and I are going to host a tourny for everyone around our area.. But we want to hold a "fair" tourny, where like, not everyone's teams are all uber's...So I was thinking maybe the usual tournies don't allow ubers or something??

Those Pokemon on the Uber list (Deoxys, Mewtwo, Mew, Groudon, Wynaut and Wob...etc) arent allowed in official play, but Legendary pokemon are.

There are many clauses that are in official play to keep things fair. Like Sleep Clause (no more than 1 sleep opposing pokemon by use of your moves. Like Spore on Breloom can only hit 1 of your opponent's pokemon, but not another one.)

There are others I dont know the exact specifics on them, but I hope I helped

I remember another Clause. Its the Self-KO Clause, If you and your opponent are down to your last pokemon apiece, and either pokemon has Explosion or Self-destruct, they cannot use it to cause a draw.

"Players must not use the following pokemon characters: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, or Deoxys"

"Players may not have more than one of any Pokemon characters on their team all [four] must be different Pokemon characters"

"Players may not enter two Pokemon with the same nickname"

"Players may not enter a Pokemon nicknamed with the name of another Pokemon character (ex: a Treecko nicknamed "Torchic")"

"Players may not use any Pokemon created or altered by "game altering devices" such as Action Replay or Game Shark.

"All Pokemon may hold items. Players may not use two of the same Hold Items."

"Players may not use the Soul Dew Item or Enigma Berry Items"

"Players may not use a Wobbuffet holding the Leftovers Item"

"Players may not cause two or more Pokemon the same team to be affected by the Sleep Special Condition"

"Players may njot cause two or more Pokemon on the same team to be affected by the Freeze Special Condition"

"User will lose if all Poke'mon faint due to "Self Destruct" or "Explosion""

iirc those are the rules for the JAA tournament, which aren't as fair as the rules that smogon uses for theri tournaments, basically use Sleep Clause, über Pokémon (Wobbuffet, Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Latios, Latias, Deoxys (all forms)) are banned, and Evasion/Accuracy modifying moves as well as OHKO attacks, while not specifically banned, shoud not be used.
