how many of you have actually gotten your team of 6 pokemon to lv 100 , how long did it take you and how did u do it ? without a gameshark or anything to enhance or modify your game. I know it is really hard i have not done it yet what about u ?

Heh, not me, I always restart. Now that I have two versions though I'll make Sapphire my permanent one and get the team to 100.

I managed this on my first Sapphire file. It took me the better part of two months to do, especially because by the time Wailord reaches level 80 it takes several tens of thousands of EXP to go up a single level. At first I used EXP Share to raise the team levels high enough to use in competitive battle, and after that I just battled several Trainer's Eyes people and the Elite Four over and over again. I didn't do any EV training, but if I had I'm sure it would have taken a lot longer.

It was a ton of work, but well worth it for the whole 10 minutes I got to use the max leveled team (the file was erased on accident).

spike, I'd use Ruby for the main game as Sapphire is easier to go through...

Wailord?!

My team was a conglomerate of favorites, so Wailord served as my Water-type. Besides, I wanted the challenge of raising an EXP-eater. :)

It took me about seven months to train six to Lv.100. My Swampert and Ludicolo were first, followed by my Sableye. I had them for a while before I got my Pelipper and Cacturne up there. Then I took a small respite before I got my Wailord up there. That was all before I started EV training, but they're not too disappointing (excepting Sableye).

My current group of Lanturn (Lv.38), Absol (Lv.50), Sharpedo (Lv.50), Crawdaunt (Lv.85), Swellow (Lv.60), and Whiscash (Lv.85) is coming along. EV training and all. ;)

Wailord can become a chore sometimes, no?

He's a pain. I'd thought of training a new one for the EV training. EV train his HP and Speed, prolly. Then I think of what I went through with him. It took many hours lying in bed sick one Sunday to get him from 90 to 100. I had him fighting all the Elite solo and he was only gaining about a level a trip. Ugh. Too much...

I didn't bother with EV training (partially because I wasn't sure how to do it... lol), but I had to space out leveling mine up over several days because it was getting a little ridiculous.

Worth it to me in the end though... Wailord can be a nice addition to any team if used and trained properly.

A few months ago I leveled up my 2 OHKO teams to Lv 100. I used Houndoom Revenge's Trainer Tip (the day care/Acro Bike trick) so they grew while I slept at night (see the Tip in the Trainer's Checklist on the Help Thread). It still took like three nights or so from Lv 50 to get them to around 100.

So at Lv 100 I have a Delcatty and Spinda (my Assistants), and my Lv 100 OHKO pokemon are Walrein, Donphan, and Pinser. I also have a Lv 100 Blaziken but it was not EV trained.

The whole reason I did this was to challenge the Lv 100 BT. I won 55 straight at Lv 50 and thought well ok now let me go to Lv 100. So I did go and I got creamed. I only got 28 wins. Since then I've been thinking of raising some of my good Lv 50 pokemon to Lv 100 and challenging Lv 100 BT with them. Winning a shield at Lv 100 BT is the only thing in the Game I haven't done yet I think.

Question: I'd like to go back to Lv 100 BT and try for a shield again with a new team. I don't know if it makes sense to just train some from scratch or raise some of my existing Lv 50 ones. Anyone have an opinion on this?

Leveling up to 100 is not that hard.

This is what I do:

1. Find two parents with good IVs. Time: 3+ hours
2. Breed for two uber powerful parents. Time: 2+ hours
3. Repeat step two 3-7 times, for near perfect parents.
4. Breed the perfect parents for a child of the perfect nature and 25 or better for IVs. Time: 2+ hours
5. EV train, with the help of vitamins, the macho brace, and POKErus. Time: 30-45 minutes.
6. Train until it learns all its moves. Time: 1-8 hours (Cradily learns stockpile/spit up/swallow at 60...ARGH!)
7. Daycare+Acro to level 100. Time: 3 minutes of my time, plus 60 hours the GBA is on.
8. Give TMs/hold item. Time: 5 minutes

Well, there it is. Not so hard, is it? Eight easy steps to completing your pokemon. I've done this 14 times. Now go have some fun.

That is a good method. Once you have EV trained a pokemon and they will not learn any new moves there is no harm in leaving them in the daycare and doing the Acro muddy slope trick.

I have quite a few lvl 100s not many though as I train mainly for the lvl 50 BT. I have loads on Red/Silver versions.

On the subject of 100s:

Sapphire: Reached about 80ish, maybe 85ish, with at least 3 of my team.
Silver: Reached 100 with 10-15, including Typhlosion and Lugia. Game was lost and/or stolen after maybe 90-100 hours of play.
Yellow: Got over 60 level 100s, got a Chansey to level 76 SOLO, after catching it at 21 in the safari zone...game time was maxed out (255:59), rofl. One day I was playing on it during a storm, and had it plugged in. Had batteries in it too but...power went out, save got wiped. It's wiped itself twice since then, too...rather annoying.
Did a 'speed' run the other day, but I kind of stopped to kill -everyone- and -everything- along the way. Took me 15:36. Not horrible, and far better than most of my earlier attempts, but hardly comparable to what some of you guys have going here.
Blue/Red: Never played.
Ruby: Never played.
Gold, Crystal: Never played.
FireRed/LeafGreen: Playing FireRed right now, I'm at like 58 or so, after maybe 3-4 hours of gameplay...not sure exactly. Thinking of restarting it but don't know.

Sidenote: I can't seem to find Houndoom Revenge's Trainer Tip...
