Word.
I like all the villains 'cept for her and Bellatrix... but Umbridge in particular annoyed me to the extreme.

does Lockhart count? He pi$$ed the shiznit outta me. So did Umbridge. I wanna know what the Centaurs did to her though...

Wormtail. I HATED him. Because of him, Sirius is dead really. Because hes the one who helped Voldy live again. And hes the one who escaped when they cudda turned him in and Sirius wudda lived with Harry or w/e. Because of him, Harry's life fell apart. Also the whole betrayal of the "secret" spell. Where Voldy wouldn't find the Potters. Ever. Unless secret keeper told him. =/

Lucius Malfoy; for passing on evilness to his son.
Draco; for absorbing evilness from his father.
Wormtail; for being a little wimp of a villan.

You've gotta say though, J.K. did an awesome job developing Umbride with the evilness. That being said, I absolutely HATE Umbridge. I don't even like hating her, I just HATE her. I don't like seeing her turn up so I can hate her, I'd prefer if she just wasn't there at all...

Umbridge is very different from the other villians.

Voldemort, Malfoy and the lot are evil, but they're trying to acomplish something with their evilness. If you cross them, you're blown to pieces in an instant.
Umbridge wasn't trying to get anything done, she was cruel because she could be, and it gave her pleasure to torment others. She was just sadistic.

The best way to sum this up is with a quote from Order of the Pheonix:

"The world is not divided into good people and De@theaters."

In other words, Umbridge was villain but not in the classic sense. She wasn't trying to curse Harry into oblivion, she was merely trying to make life miserable for him. :)

Seriously, though, Rowling has done an outstanding job developing all of her villains into truly loathable characters. All of her villains have a quality about them that makes the reader despise them. I'm just happy Voldemort isn't D¡ck Dastardly all over again.
