National pokedex

I know u get the national pokedex after u beat the elite 4, but do u also have to have a certain number of pokes in the dex, like in fire red?

No, once you return back to home town (or just turn the game off and turn it back on lol) and after some events (not giving away too much) Prof. Birch will take you to his lab and automatically update it for you.

that's good, I was hoping not. In my fire red, I know I need 60. I have like 15, and I beat 4 badges, lol
