I need some moveset suggestions. There is no moveset on the sticky moveset thread for Sableye.
My Sableye has a modest nature and was caught at Lv 48. I would have liked to have it be a skill-swapper or WOWer but it doesn't learn either move.
EV distribution and moveset ideas would be helpful.

Sableye@Leftovers
Modest(the desired one is Adamant):252 Atk, 129 Def, 129 Sp.Def
Focus Punch
Confuse Ray/Knock Off
Toxic/Knock Off
Night Shade
Try and get an Adamant nature if you can.

Sableye@Bright Powder
-Knock Off
-Attract
-Confuse Ray
-Toxic
*Modest, 252 HP, 252 speed, 6 (special) defense
You could alternately max HP and split the rest between the two defenses. I'm just usually give speed more consideration, but that's just me.
This is sort of an annoyer set, if they switch from Attract and confusion then you can just Toxic and Knock off the next target. Optimally on a female Sableye. This is just sort of an idea to play around with, I’ve never really used it.
Sableye@Lum/Bright Powder/Leftovers
-Psyche up
-Night Shade
-Recover
-Confuse Ray/Knock off/Thief/Taunt
252 HP, rest split evenly between defenses.
I think this was Strawhat’s idea. It’s an anti-tank, Psyche up against something like a Registeel and then Night Shade for what will always be 100 damage.
I don't know if Sableye is really usable, I've never actually used one.

I used one, but only twice. I used the Anti-Tank moveset with thief Fallen Ronin mentioned. It works only about 75% of the time, because most tanks have rest and they keep resting until NightShade runs out.

Can be a good tank as well.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Most of you posted Confuse Ray and Toxic which I like a lot. Night Shade may be a good choice since her Attack IV is low but it won't matter since that move bases damage on level I think plus it'll get stab. Brightpowder for the Hold Item as Fallen Ronin posted. I'll put the EVs into HP and Speed too.
As far as the last slot, I'll probably pick either attract or focus punch. I have a female and Attract will add to the annoyance. The only pokemon IMO that I think Focus Punch was any good on was Breloom (with spore) but maybe with confuse ray it will be worth trying too. I'll sleep on it.
Once again, I appreciate all of the ideas. I never used a Sableye before but caught a shiny one a few nights ago and decided to train it to be on my next team (in Colosseum) since a ghost type comes in handy.

Skill Swap would've been sweet.. I was thinking of a Sableye with Skill Swap partnered with Shedinja, it would have some potential but can't be done.
For the anti-tank set, in the last slot, could Torment or Snatch be better, to prevent them from continually Resting? With Torment, you get 3 or 4 turns to use Night Shade from the point that the opponent first uses Rest.
-rest
-asleep
-asleep
-can't use rest
With Snatch.. (I'm not sure if Sableye will fall asleep instead) the opponent will try to use Rest when its HP is low, you get the HP restoration instead, and the opponent has the same amount of health as before to wittle away with Night Shade. I dunno. BTW a Ghost-type doesn't get a STAB for Night Shade: the damage is just always equal to the user's level, so at lv. 100 you won't cause extra damage with STAB.

If you skill swap Insomnia to someone they can't use rest period. Then they'll be stuck awake and getting beatdown....

don't get rid of Night shade...it's one of Sableye's best Moves...few Pokemon moves can even affect him, so he's kick butt anyhow :D

Please refrain from resurrecting three month old topics. There really is no need for it....

Marill- who are you to come and say that?...people want help with the game, they can ask, they don't need your permission. no offense.

He's right, two month old threads are not to be revived. I banned someone last night for continuing to do that after being warned.
