here's a question I've argued with people since r/b/y...

How do u beat the game??

I always figured that since u want to be a pokemon master, the point of the game was to "catch 'em all"

Now with all of the new feature they have added into the game, such as contests and battle fronteir, I'm not sure anymore. I was wondering what u guys consider "beating the game"

Getting all of the following means you've beaten the game in my eyes:

8 Badges

Beat the Elite Four

Beating all the Master Rank Contests and having your Pokemon painted

Getting 385 in your Pokedex without cheating

Getting all 7 Gold Symbols

Ditto that, except it's getting 383 in your Pokédex without cheating (minus Mew, Celebi and Deoxys).

What about Jirachi? Can you get him?

I say that not only having 382/383 pokemon is essential, but I plan on having a copy of every pokemon in the game. I'll have them arrangted into numerical order in my boxes. So, I have every single pokemon available to me.

I don't have any, sicne my brother is playing through emerald right now, and he hasn't completed yet (he's had it for 6 months now, and has only just reached Fortree. He's so slow).
