contests in r/s

I have never really heard peopl talk about the contests in r/s, and I was wondering if i'm the only one who does them.

CurrentlyI have a meticham that won a master cool, a castform that won master beauty, and a slaking that won master cute (how ironic is that) in my ruby

also I was wondering if they had these contests in emerald, b/c my brother just got emerald, and he got up to slatport, and the contest hall was replaced by something else

I guess your main question is to see if people compete in Contests and what they have won. I have completed the Master Rank in all types, and have had pictures drawn and entered into the Museum of each Pokémon that has won:

Milotic: Beauty in Master Rank
Alakazam: Smart in Master Rank
Regirock: Tough in Master Rank
Pikachu: Cool in Master Rank
Barboach: Cute in Master Rank

I'm sure most people have reached Master in all types quite easily; all it takes is patience...

Yes, there are contests in Emerald, but they have all been condensed and compacted into one place: Lilycove. You enter all types of contests here, on all 4 Ranks.

Once you have completed the Master Rank for one type twice (I believe), an artist will approach you with a rendering of your winning Pokémon, which he asks if he could exhibit in the Art Gallery, on the top floor of the Lilycove Museum. Once you have completed all types (in the Master Rank), you get a statue of a glass Pidgeotto which can be displayed in your Secret Base.

I haven't been focusing on them lately, I haven't beaten a Master Rank yet (DAMN YOU WOBBUFETT!) but I take my Noctowl to those. I have a Golduck for Cute contests.
