Nice to see a Poker thread here. Thanks you guys!

Anyways, we all talk about our best bluffs, hands, and plays. What about your best game? Sure you people get all these great hands, but what happens next?

The best game I've ever played was not so long ago. It was a cash game, and the minimum buy in was twenty Monopoly dollars, because as we all know I am too young to gamble for real money, and it's illegal anyways if it's not in a casino. So anyways, the game started of really slow. You know, the usual: Deal, fold, deal, fold, deal, bet, fold, fold, fold. Then I struck gold, and buy gold I mean pocket queens. I called the big blind with no raise. Everyone else called the BB. I can't remember the exact flop, but I know it was all under cards. So I checked again. Everyone else checked around until the last guy. Posts a small "I know you guys all have jack, I'm going to take your blinds" bet. I stared at him. I knew he had nothing, and he thought I had nothing. So I rose. He called. Turn was a king. That scared me a lot. I bet, I don't know why, but I did. After about two minutes of silence he said, "All in." Frightened as I was, I called. Called quickly. (Oh yeah, everyone else folded, so it was just me and him heads up). He was angry. Bluffing on a high card Ace. It was still intimidating though, all he needed was a-And before I could even complete that thought the last card came a ten. W00t I was saved. The game continued to go my way, and when I cashed out, I had almost tripled my Monoply money.

Hope you enjoyed that, now, please, post yours.

thats an... interesting best game ;p

but mine is still probably the time i played in a hubbles tourney on pokerstars(play money, but i only play real money online and IRL now). 6000 person tourney and i came into the FT(final table) as chip leader, and ended up 2nd cause the final hand my a-q off lost to a-2 off.

still an amazing day though, didnt give out but one or two bad beats(nothing that significant)

buuuuut i only play real money now(anywhere from $1/$2 blinds and lower in ring games, and lots of high dollar tourneys when i have the money ;p)

Umm, I've top 20'd in a ****load of hubbles.

My account has 2 top 2 finishes in a hubbles, one was Patrick Smith playing on my account, and the other was just me playing on my account.

It was a good wys back, dunno if I got second or what. Basically all the hubbles were really fun.

You mean Monopoly money, right? You're not old enough to gamble, unless you live in Maine... but 18 is the age for all online gambling.
no, i mean real money. not everyone here abides by the law. you'd definantly be surprised at lots of people who gamble illegally that are reaaaaaally well known.(on pojo, and off)

it's not gonna get locked for that. Betting in Poker is part of the game, whether you play for real money or not...doesn't matter...I don't think we care if you discuss gambling.

+10 cool points for wild will in my book ;p

anyway, i've had some really solid games lately, its so easy to read people in cash games(low stakes, at least)

me and majin from AO both went to a .10/.25 table with $10, and left with $120++ a while back ;/

Yeah, and I' bet you're a badass, and every parent looks at you and says, "Whoa, that kid gambles under the age!! What a rebel, I heard that he also plays Yu-Gi-Oh."

What the hell is wrong with abiding the rules? I was just being cautious. Betting under 18 is illegal, it's a LAW. Therefore I chose not to say I bet money, but Monopoly money. And I hoped that you guys would be able to figure out I was being sarcastic. But, whatever, thanks Will. Betting is part of the game, that's what poker is.

Anways, a couple weeks ago I was playing an online game with a buy-in of fifty chips (actually play money, can't gamble on this site). I was off to a VERY rough start and probably bought in at least three times before I got a hand. I was almost playable hands like J 10, and K 10. I hit a good hand, Q Q, went all in (like 25 chips) and lost. One guy at the table was getting VERY sarcastic. I bought in once more, and won my next hand. Won again. Won again. And eventually took out the a-hole guy. After he bought in again I wasted him once more. He ended up leaving, and I was doing a lot better, but was still behind. By the end of the game I was somewhere up in the thousands. There was actually hardly any skill involved. I just kept getting hand after hand. And they weren't good hands either. I was getting straights, boats, and trips on hands like J 9 off suit. I won with Q 10 to pocket aces. It was great, people were rebuying time after time. Once you get that big of a lead, there's not much anyone can do about it. About mid-way I decided to lay off a little and fold all of my hands. One guy got to about 200 and I decided to join back in. Fifteen minutes later he left after being cleaned out. Ahh, the joy.

Honestly that is what it seem's

Q 10 o

to beat Pocket Ace's

Lets see..Need 4 to the flush
Need to flop 2 pair
Need to flop Set

So for 2 pair/set, there are 3Q and 310 left in the deck(assuming no one esle was dealt a Q or 10, or that one of the 3 burned cards was not either.) So 6 outs in whole deck for that. ANd then its what 13/14 cards of each suit.

When I got the Q 10, yeah, I was getting hella lucky, lol. I think I won when the turn came with a Queen. But to get the lead I actually had to do something to get past the chip leader.

Now I wanna here some of your guys' stories... no one's posted anything other than stating how good they've done..

One of the recent times I've played Hold 'Em IRL was with cousins after the hurricane, we were bored with no eletricity, so we got out the playing cards and went at it.

We arent pros, but we arent terrible at poker either, just casual players who know how to play well. Well my cousin chris is pretty much a n00b @ poker, and we played a prank on him by dealing him AK Suited, then dealing AAK on the flop...

...His expression was PRICELESS.

I was playing a few weeks ago with 3 other friends. It was the 3rd hand and I had a pair of 7's. We played for change and I raised a quarter (yeah I know big spender lol) and called. The only person who could have beaten me was my friend who I was able to bluff into folding his 3 of a kind of 4's.

Fun fact is that was the only hand he would have won that entire night except for the last hand. He usualy dose better but he cheats and I was watching him like a hawk.;)

We had some family coming in (My cousin Jessica, Sarah, their Mom Dawn, and Jessicas Boyfriend Mark.), so we all got together a 6 person game with me and my sister.

Mark doesnt know how to play Hold 'Em, I had to explain to him how Blinds worked etc.

Eventually he started getting kinda pissy because everyone was having a good time and he didnt really know how to play. Everyone would check pre flop and he would fold, etc. Basically a noob ;p

He started folding when it wasnt his turn to act. My aunt Dawn is crazy, and a very funny person, so heres how it went:

ME: "It isnt your turn to act, after Jessica gets finished Calling, Betting, Raising, Checking, or Folding, you get your chance."

MARK: "IT WAS MY TURN OMG!"

AUNT DAWN: "Come on Mark! [i]"You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em..."!"

And OMFG. I got up and started CRYING of laughter, it was INSANELY funny.

Had to be there haha

cool, i didn't even notice this forum.

3 weeks ago, 3 friends and I were playing Deuces Wild, we wanted a change up over our regular game of Hold 'Em. I had a J, Q, K, 4 and A. The 4 and A were Spades the J was a Diamond and the K & Q were Clubs. I discarded A,4 and J and managed to pull out 2 Deuces and an Ace of Clubs. Inspite of the odds of Deuces, it still was a pretty good and lucky draw. Actually, i enjoy playing with Wilds much more, Hold 'Em requires strategy...:(

I couldn't tell you the best game I've ever played, but I can definitely tell you the luckiest.

Okay, so I just entered a $1 NL ring game. My first hand is 6h9h, and the flop comes 5h7hXx. I bet $2, thinking (jokingly), "alright, a straight flush draw!".

Then the turn hits, which is 8h. So, to make a long story short, I won that hand.

Now, this wouldn't be so remarkable, except that my next hand is another straight flush (hand: 5c8c, flop: 6c7cXx, turn: brick, river: 9c).

Well, that's [insert poker site here]'s RNG for ya. :D

B/c i always go for the best hand...inspite of the chances ^_^, i was lined up to either be 1,2,3 card(s) off or get it. I got what i deserved. I would have been dissapointed with a Straight when i knew i could possibly get the ultimate hand.

By the way, we were only playing 1 deck, so this was truly luck.

I was playing against my brother just earlier today, I got some pocket queens and decided to play them pretty agressively, the flop came up J, 10, 8, so I raised as they were all under cards, he called and I figured he had floped a pair, but I still had the highest, turn was a 6, I raised, he called, flop was a 2, so I pushed all in, knowing I had the hand won, he called and proceeded to turn his two aces over... I was pissed....

I didn't win, but my friend and I were betting like crazy, the max chip being worth 4$(not real money though). I raise, he raised, and on and on, until I was left with a 3/5 and him to a pocket 7s with a seven on the board.

Best game:
Pocket fours, and this onbe kid thought he was doing so great, so he bet like crazy. I kept calling, and on the final bet, I went max. And I won with trip 4s.

We didn't stack it. If we did, then HE would've got the stright not me. He called it because the straight possibility was too low and there was an ace high flush already for both players.

but I don't blame you for saying that. I would be skeptical too.

the best i've played have actually been in freerolls. on pokerstars, i got 38th in a $5000 pool freeroll and won $16.50, started my br. on tilt, i got 20th in a freeroll and won $2... and then lost $1.40 in a sng, so have only 60 cents on tilt, rofl. i've gotten t27 in hubbles 2 times, and yeah i think i played my best poker in those 2 hubbles and both of my cashings in the freerolls. that 16.50 is what started me in real money... i've never deposited, i'm at $34.50 now. not a high roller, but working on it haha.
