I read a while ago that when you use cheats on the pokemon games after so long it screws up you and you can't get things like the special tickets from pokemon events like the Mystic and Aurora tickets etc... any truth to this ??

There is some truth to it. My old game froze up all the time, and SInce then I have never cheated.
