Sharpedo ability question

If you had, say an alakazam with 1 hp as your last pokemon and a sharpedo is your opponents last pokemon, zam uses thunderpunch and sharpedo is defeated. Alakazam will die from rough skin....

If both pokes fainted who'd win? Or does rough skin not do this on the last pokemon?

Both will faint since rough skin will still do damage. Technically it is a draw, but a draw is really a loss if you are playing ingame (like at the Battle Tower, for example). You'll have to start a new challenge all over, beginning with Battle #1. This can be very frustrating if you've earned a lot of wins and then have a draw. It's the same as loss---back to square one.
