Not many have all 386. I don't, and I probably never will either.
I knew when I started playing that I would not be able to get all 386 but I really like playing the games and decided it wasn't a big deal. Trying to catch them all is what makes some players turn to a cheating device. Since I don't agree with cheating, I just shrugged it off.

Actually, I don't have anywhere near 382. I think that is something you can be proud of.

i have the same problem as you. in r/s/e/lg/fr i dont have anywhere close to completing the pokedex so you should be proud of having 382. but in my silver and gold games i am missing one pokemon in each, celebi. i dont cheat so i wont get him using a game shark and i dont go to conventions where i could get him or trade for one so i wont ever complete the pokedex.

try buying a gameshark sp those can get you any pokemon you want.

The only time I ever "caught them all" was in my red version. I traded with a friend's blue version to get the ones red didn't have. I don't try anymore to get them.

Yellow: 150 (no mew)
Gold: 249 (no mew, no celebi)
LG: 361 (I have Jirachi though)

I wish they made them availible in game, but after a very difficult process
