So far, I've been in two booster drafts at the store I play Yu-Gi-Oh! at, and they've been pretty fun. Both drafts have been a casual group of 5 players (different both times), and we've had some good times.

Here are some of the bright spots from the drafts I had:

*I won both of them ^_^;;; The first time was a fairly decent Blue/Red build with a mix of Onslaught and Mirrodin, and the second time (today) was a not bad mono-Red deck from the same sets.

*First draft, first pack, rare...Chrome Mox. Alas, it was the only rare I drafted out of 15 possible. One player got both Exalted Angel and Mobilization. Boo.

*Second draft, second pack, rare...foil Blistering Firecat. Since I was already in Red at this point, and it was a really nice foil rare, it was a no-brainer. Slam on the table (not literally, of course). However, the same player that got Exalted and Mobilization last week got a Chrome Mox out of one of his Mirrodin packs :(.

*Second draft we drafted 2 Mirrodin and 1 Onslaught. Here is the deck I assembled.

Creatures: [ 13 ]
3 Goblin Taskmaster
2 Skirk Prospector
2 Spikeshot Goblin
1 Blistering Firecat (foil ^_^;;;)
1 Duplicant
1 Goblin War Wagon
1 Rustmouth Ogre
1 Slith Firewalker
1 Vulshok Berserker

Other Spells: [ 10 ]
2 Fists of the Anvil (I didn't get much decent equipment, so these were the next best picks)
1 Chromatic Sphere (at worst, it's a cantrip)
1 Crown of Fury
1 Grab the Reins
1 Lavamancer's Skill
1 Leonin Scimitar
1 Pyrite Spellbomb
1 Shatter
1 Solar Blast

Lands: [ 17 ]
15 Mountain (1 was an Onslaught foil)
1 Forgotten Cave
1 Great Furnace

The only really memorable Booster Draft I participated in was the time I drafted a Cromat during an Invasion Block Draft. I picked the card with the sole intention of just having it to build a casual deck out of it but decided "why not?" and built a 5 color deck using anything I could with mana generation. The funny thing was, I came in 2nd. That was unexpected and cool :D

the only thing memorable about my booster drafts (because i lose them all) would be my very first one. I ended pulling an oblivion stone, a bosh, and some other really good cards.

Have yet to win any Drafts I've been in as well. Only 2 so far though so I guess that's not my strongest point. Been to 2 Sealed events (both Pre-Releases) and I actually won something in the Darksteel one (gotta love Isochron Scepter + 2 Echoing Truths). Would Draft more if it wasn't for the cost. Guess I'm too cheap for my own good...

I've only been in three booster drafts, and one sealed deck. The first one was an Onslaught/Legions/Scourge. I did pretty well, with a goblin deck. Second one was a little worse(8th edition), I had to play G/W o_0. At least I drafted a couple Holy Days, with a few life gainers. Beware of my spiders! Third one, was just plain awful. It was all-Mirrodin, and I had very unlucky pulls. I tried to shorten the land count to 15(including three Locuses), but it didn't work out(I did this because I was always flooded in previous tournaments, so I tried to cut down from 17 to 15). The highest I have ever placed was second...

Best would be last week. My store had run out of enough MIrrodin so they did a "Wack draft" of a lot of old sets: Mirrodin, 8th, Onslaught Block, Odessy Block, Invasion Block and Mercadian Masques block (without prophecy). There was also a Mirage pack. I drafted this nice B/R deck based off pingers (go Anaba Shaman, Shock Troops, invasion card that gives pinging ability, etc. lol) and creatures with built-in pumping. I actually won too :P
I dismantled the deck after I won so I dont have a decklist. I dont think i drafted a single good rare. The hardest game was the first guy with his stupid hammer of borgordan.

I won two odessy packs and a Scourage and pulled nothing good.

My favorite draft moments were from the last tournament I attended, an 8th draft back in August. I told everyone that I was going to draft the land that I got in my first pack. Everyone thought I was dumb.

I pulled City of Brass.

Later, I was passed Serra Angel. Hallelujah!

Unfortunately, I pulled neither of these very often, and when I did, they hardly did anything to help. So, at the end of the tournament, I made the last trade I've made in several months...possibly the WORST trade ever...made out of sheer anger...I traded Serra for Time Stretch...

God, have mercy on my stupid soul.

My first and only draft as of yet.

I pulled Bosh in my first pack.
I got 2 Spikeshot Goblins.
I got 3 Battle Growths.
I got 2 Wurmskin Forgers.
I got an Oblivion Stone.

Nothing beats 5 damage in draft for R from Spikeshot and +1/+1 counters.

I took 3rd because I got mana screwed/flooded 2 games. =(
