Will Ash And Gary Ever Battle Again

As we all saw at the end of the johto champioship gary said he would become just like his grandfather. do you think ash and gary will ever battle again.

If Gary becomes as good a researcher as he hoped to become, he'd probably end up knowing a lot more about Pokémon than Ash (more than he might already know). It would be very interesting to see league-champion Ash battle know-it-all Gary, should both ever reach those points.

So we'll have to see what happens... I'd really like to see the two have an actual, full-blown battle. No more of the Eevee stuff...

It's unlikely as this might turn into the same problem with Ash's father: they won't show it for a while and maybe never. Maybe they'll battle at the end of Andvanced.. but it would be different considering that they all had only new pokemon except their starters. We'll have to see.

I doubt that Gary and Ash are just going to come onto the screen and say "let's be friends". That would imply that they weren't friends before which could make people scratch their heads and wonder it they "disliked" each other in the beginning. The show is trying to promote friendly relationships.

Gary might focus on his research only when a bunch of people just beat him in battles. (He would then discover that he would be better studying.) But until then, he won't focus on studies as he is an accomplished trainer at the moment.
