Okay, I've had Sapphire for about a week and I am not in an obsession. I play it once in a while, and I haven't even defeated the first gym (I'm training first). These are a few rookie questions I have:

Premier Ball: What does it do? I got the premier ball but I'm afraid it's a really good ball that I wouldn't want to waste. What does it do?

Cascoon/Silcoon: Evolutionary lines. In these lines I always start with Wurmple (like I wouldn't catch a level 5 Cascoon) that way the cacoon stage would be able to use tackle to help train. I've raised three Wurmple and all three have become Cascoon, how do I get Silcoon?

Reccomendation teams Right now, I'm gonna try to have my team be Marshtomp, Beautifly, Dustox, Poochyena, Wingull, and Ralts against Roxanne, what do you suggest?

I know, I'm a rookie and I should be way farther in the game but who cares, those are my questions and please help.

the premier ball is the exact same as a pokeball, it only looks different, the cascoon silcoon evolutions depend on where you caught your wurmple, outside of petalburg woods in the grass right by the berries it will evolve into a silcoon, inside the woods it will turn into a cascoon, anywhere else it is random but I have expirenced that it will evolve into a cascoon more than a silcoon. As for the team recomendations, I would get rid of Pochyena for the gym battle and put in a lotad for Roxanne's rock pokemon. Other than that your team is good for the begining of the game. Just use Marshtomp's water gun and lotad's absorb and you should do fine. Also try not to put wingull out in the very begining because her pokemon will destroy it with rock throw and rock tomb.

Premier Ball: Its like a regular poke ball, but can only be gotten after buying multiple poke balls at a time.

Cascoon/Silcoon: Don't listen to bob1224, he is a n00b. Wurmpules evolution depends on its nature and gender.

Reccomendation teams:You don't need both Beautifly and Dustox, choose 1, otherwise, looks good.

If your Mashtomp have a powerful water move, you should be able to sweep the floor with Roxanne really quickly.

What I did was get a Wingull to LV 16, and blasted Geodude and Nosepass with water gun. They went down in one hit each.
