hi again. Thanks for the ratings. I replaced a few pokes, so heres the revised team.
Skarmory@lefties impish M
-Spikes
-Roar (WW and roar are the same, right?)
-DrillPeck
-Rest
Vileplume@lum (-Att +Speed) Maximized Spec Att and speed F
-Sunnyday
-Solarbeam
-Moonlight
-Aromatherapy
Espeon@lum (+Spec Att -Att)

It could benefit from vile's sunnyday...
Gardevoir@lefties
-Calmmind
-Psy
-WoW
-T-bolt
Swampert@lum
-Surf (I feel more comfartable having a water attack, as I don't have a water type other than him. But I'm a freak, so...)
-E-quake
-Rest
-Brickbreak
Umbreon@lefties
-Meanlook
-Batonpass
-Wish
-Rest
Is there a different moveset where he can attack? I'm gonna keep this one, but I'm just curious.
Thanks again for the rates.

Skarmory@lefties impish -Spikes
-Whirlwind
-Drill Peck
-Rest/Toxic
Soundproof blocks roar, but it doesn't block WW. WW is superior overall.
Vileplume needs 2 attacking moves, but since you won't allow Espy to use the Moveset I want, just drop this for something else.
Espeon@leftovers/petaya (+Spec Att -Att)
-Calm Mind
-Psychic
-HP:Dark
-Skill Swap
Gardevoir@leftovers
-Calm Mind
-Psychic
-WoW
-Thunderbolt
Drop either Gardy or Espy. I suggest dropping Gardy.
Swampert@leftovers/chestro
-Rock Slide
-E-quake
-Rest
-Curse
NO, NO, NO. NO MIXED ATTACKS. GO WITH PHYSICAL ATTACK AS IT IS HIGHER AND HE GETS CURSE.
Umbreon@lefties
-Meanlook
-Batonpass
-Wish/moonlight
-Rest
Umbreon has horrible attacking stats, but its def and sp.def are great. If you want an attacker, drop this altogether.
If you want my help, your going to have to atleast try my suggestions.

Regarding Umbreon, not sure about an attack set but I know his DF and SpDf stats are really good and I did very well with the following set:
Umbreon@Lum
Toxic
Confuse Ray
Faint attack
Moonlight
Because of the high defenses he can take a hit or two usually. So Confuse/Toxic first then moonlight if needed. Faint attack to finish off (plus it gets STAB)
I know this is not exactly what you were asking for but it does work so I thought I'd pass it on for you to consider as an alternative moveset. Good Luck!
BTW, you're new here but did you post on the previous pojo board (as Skarmory)?

Thanks for the rates. Any more?
OFF TOPIC: Altaria! I remember you! I DID post before, as skar1787. I'm suprised that you remember me. I see that sticky is still around. lol. :)
Got memories?

Ha Ha Ha Ha! You are not just Skar, you are SIR Skar, The Bigness! How could I ever forget you lol. Great to see you here!

If you want my help, your going to have to atleast try my suggestions.
Sorry. I didn't see your post till now. I wasn't wearing my contacts, so I just skimmed over to Altaria's post. Here's the new updated team. I ditched vileplume together, and replaced it with something else.
Skarmory@lefties
-Spikes
-WW
-Rest
-Toxic
Espeon@leftovers
-CalmMind
-Psy
-HP: Dark
-Skill Swap
Would it be possible to ditch something for morining sun? Or would it be like recover on 'Kazam?
Umbreon@lefties
-Meanlook
-Batonpass
-Wish
-Rest
Houndoom@lefties
-Pursuit/Crunch
-Counter/Crunch
-Flamethrower
-HP:Grass/Crunch
NO IDEA. I don't even know if it's good on nmy team, since I lack a fire type, but it adds to my fighting weakness... Never used him in r/s before....
Swampert@lefties
-Curse
-Rest
-E-quake
-Rockslide
I still feel a little insecure w/o surf
Now, what should I replace Gardy with? I need a grass type.... Or a tank...
shineyaltaria
04-28-2004, 11:06 AM
How about a grass type And Surf And a tank?
Ludicolo@lefties (can have either raindish ability for more recovery or swift swim)
=Leech seed
=Surf (or dive if you're using toxic too)
=Rain dance
=Toxic
Between the lefties and leech seed you can recover a lot each turn and be harder to kill. My set has Rest instead of rain dance since my other pokemon has rain dance already. Some posters like icebeam in the set instead of toxic to help cover the flying weakness but I really like poisoning things and toxic works real good together with leech seed and dive. So, thats my suggestion.
Got Ludicolo?
Lord_Skar
04-28-2004, 01:59 PM
Ludicolo was one of my choices, but it's a little tad OU for my liking... So was Dusclops and Claydol, but Dusclops is OU and I already have a ground and psychic type for Claydol... I alwaysed liked Altaria (isn't it ironic that I just caught a shiny one?).... I was thinking:
Altaria@lefties/??
-Dragon Dance
-Aerial Ace
-Earthquake
-Rest
or from my nonshiny Altaria female,
Altaria@brightpowder
-DragonBreath
-AerialAce
-Fireblast
-Rest
I like D-breath because of paralysis. But having an Altaria would add another flying type, and I don't want to get rid of skar.... How about a Walrein?
Walrein@lefties
-Surf
-IceBeam
-Rest
-Sleeptalk/Earthquake
I son't like OhKOS... they're cheap. So no fish+sheercold (lol coldfish) for me.
shineyaltaria
04-28-2004, 07:24 PM
Your Bigness; Altaria is my fave and Walrein my next fave. Altaria has decent stats and can play different roles on a team including being a hazer. If you have dragonbreath then you also may want to use Attract in the set (nice annoying parattraction).
Walrein is the only pokemon in R/S that can learn 2 OHKO moves which is what first got me interested. But I soon found out that it is just a good all-round pokemon period, even without the OHKO moves. You can breed Rock Slide too. It does good damage with ice beam and Surf both getting STAB and can take a hit.
Good luck Sir Skar, whatever you decide! Oh, and congrats on the shiny LOL.

I like altaria as a paratracter. Kingdra is better imo, because with water pulse, it can be a parattractafuser. with surf and kings rock, it adds flinch.
I like walrein with ice beam, surf, rock slide, and eq

Thanks for the help. I've decided with ALtaria for the last spot:
'Taria@lefties
-Attract
-D-breath
-AerialAce
-Rest
I'll probably pass a meanlook from Umby...
Thanks again.
Off Topic: Altaria, this is uncanny. YOUR first fav is Altaria, my second fav is Altaria. Your second fav. is walrein, and my third is.... well, Articuno, but they're both ice types. From now on, we'll be known as the Altaria Brothers...

Try out this Altaria set,
Altaria@leftovers
Modest
252 sp.atk, 252 sp.def, 6 HP
Flamethrower
Ice Beam
Perish Song
Rest
This is the set mine has. It looks good on paper, but I'm not sure how well it will really do(BTW, I'd have to check my EVs, but this still looks ok). But this set probably won't be that helpful on your team, since houndoom already has a fire attack.
Your team,
Skarmory@lefties
-Spikes
-WW
-Rest
-Toxic
Great. Consider Drill Peck/Aerial Ace/Sand Attack over Rest, but both work fine.
Espeon@leftovers
-CalmMind
-Psy
-HP: Dark
-Skill Swap
Espy can't live through many physical attacks. But all its moves are too good to drop, have you ever seen the look on a Ninjasks face when it gets swapped? Priceless(BTW, Ninjask shouldn't be able to kill Espy with Silver Wind).
Umbreon@lefties
-Meanlook
-Batonpass
-Wish
-Rest
Wish and Rest could be a waste. Try out Wish and Double Team/Toxic.
Houndoom@Petaya
-Pursuit/Crunch
-Sunny Day
-Flamethrower
-HP:Gras
Counter sucks on Doom. He won't survive the atk hes trying to counter. and Petaya pwns on him, as plenty of attacks will nearly kill him.
Swampert@lefties
-Curse
-Rest
-E-quake
-Rockslide
Don't worry, this set is sick. Its especially fun when all your opponent has left are physical attackers, and no hazer/psuedo.

Thanks for the rates. The team is almost as T-Shadow posted it, except I replaced rest on umby with toxic. Thanks again for the rates
