The scans are up, here (http://janime.netzgames.net/showthread.php?t=9749) on Janime. Thanks to Cindy, Horoko and all the others who helped translate and scan the chapter.

All I can say is...awesome. The art is a excellent as usual, giving the characters and duels new levels of awesomeness. Judai wins via his Hane Kuribo LV10, which is nice. It's also good to see monsters being chopped up when they die, like in R and the original. I think we're all sick of GX anime's sponataneous explosions.

I just read the chapter, and it was amazing. THe art and stoyrline clearly trump the bland anime, and in the last three chapters we've recieved more character development (mostly with Manjyome) then in the entire aniem to date.

Basically the manga is 100% more entertaining then the anime.

Gi Earth seems to be Judai's main hero in the manga rather then Flame Wingman. I still can't get over how weird it looks though, lol.

I find there to be a more agreeable mix of Real CCG cards, cards from the original, and new cards in the manga. Not to mention the decks are a lot better then the anime decks.

Manjyome is SO much better then Thunder, go ahead and hate me Thudner fans, you know its true! The character development was so rich in this chapter, and we really got to see a more life-like side of the Manjyome character.

Plus we got to see Level 10 again, which was fun and entertaining!

It was pretty cool. Just like in the anime Manjyome, was developed before any other character. I liked the Hane Kuriboh LV10 victory, reminds me of my Kuriboh deck...

One thing I don't like is Judais new Heros...I wanna see Manga Shinning Flare Wingman Damn it!!! Lol.

I also want to see manga Kaiser Ryo...>.< I'm beginning to fear he won't make an appearance...>.>

I like how Manjyome plays some dragons. I love dragons. I just wish they'd get more support, other than more monsters.

I enjoyed this chapter. :)

I agree! This was how Manjyome was meant to be, the egotistical hardcore top ranked duelist of Obelisk Blue who feel he must crush the weak and challenge the strong!

Not some goofy slapstick who's only role is to looks tubborn infront of his friends.
Manjyome doesn't need friends! He's an elite duellist this is all he lives for! It's this arragont one tracked attitude that makes him so interesting! Plus a deck that shows his character! Dragons of course! Dragons are power! Dragons are dominent and dragons win games! It takes a strong heart to control the true power of a dragon!

Plus he actually has a history. Kids can you say character builder!?

I'm gonna look forward to more of manga!

Hey, it was the goofy slapstick that made me love Manjyome in the first place! But I digress...

I didn't see the first two chapters, but this one was really good. I was surprised that they seemed to have changed Manjyome's duel spirit, but this one fits him quite well. And it's uber-sharp, too! ^.^ Who knows? Maybe we'll still see some Ojama play in the future.

Is it safe to assume that this is an alternate version of the GX continuity, and not just assorted events that didn't make it into the anime? I apologize if I sound dumb, but all I've seen is a few pages of the first issue and a few pages of this one.

My guess is that this taking the set up that first few episodes of the GX anime gave us and changing everything around.

Hopefully this will use some sense and actually develop the characters.

The last episodes were very good, and akin to the early GX episode builds, which made them more interesting then the somewhat bland episodes that have plagued the anime from the 13th or so episode to the current one.

And yes, Manjyome without Ojamas = Brilliance.

I dunno... I thought the Ojamas were there to help him learn that dueling is meant to be fun, like Judai always says. Plus they've become his first real friends- and I don't care what some of you guys may think; Manjyome, like everyone else, needs friends.

But you have to think of it this way.

Manyome is not the same character he was in the anime in the manga. He's the elitest, the upper crust duelist. The anime decided to do a complete makeover on a character, and although there are some who enjoy the new character that trhey created (who is just a pile of pointless coimic relief) the original was developing better and was more interesting to a lot of people.

I think Asuka, Misawa, Sho, and any other character who has become more and more useless during the length of the anime will reatin there original designs and become better characters in the manga then the shells of there former selves they have become in the anime.

I'll agree with you on one thing, a lot of the original characters got dumped in mid-first season. Misawa in particular is not the type of guy he should be, and Sho.... Well, I just dunno why he's there anymore.

I'm interested in seeing which direction the manga will be going- hopefully it will be better than the anime.

That's where my hopes lie Snodin. The character designs for the GX cast are very good, they all have likable characteristics that players can identify with and enjoy.

But if al of the characters are acting out of character then we have nothing but a bunch of generic goof-off comic relief characters, which is not interesting at all.

You could watch somthing like Spongebob and get more character development than the GX anime.

Just wanted to let everyone know, the translations for this chapter are going to come much quicker than the translations for GX2 (most on part because we were so busy with other things.)

When we first saw the characters we got to see them as they truley were, we could easily relate to them, and I understand there changing as the years go by! But there not the same people we adored back in the early episodes! i mean look what they did to Misawa! Some characters have had such a change there not even the same anymore (Look at Sho beating up Kenzan).

The characters have very little back story and thats where i beleive the writers have to work on first before they start altering the characters as they see fit! (like Sho being over shadowed by his big brother or Asuka getting her Brother back)

as YBF said these characters are turning into shells!

Something interesting on Page 3 of the manga.

Seto Kaiba Cameo appearence?! (http://usera.imagecave.com/YamiBakuraFan/kaiby.JPG)

Lol, I wonder if Kaiba has donned an Osiris Red uniform and gone to the school personally to check things out. He has the same hair and stance as Kaiba too, I think it's a neat little cameo.

Not a bad prediction, YBF. It would be interesting to have Kaiba make some real appearances in the manga, unlike those few short moments in the anime. Frankly, the owner of the school SHOULD have some part of the goings-on there.

Unless the guy behind the GX manga is just being lazy, or trying to get exactly this sort of reaction out of the readers. In which case, phooey on him.

Yub, yub.

oooohh good find YBF! I hope they do more lil cameo things like that! Man I bet Kaiba would hate to wear ugly Osiris Red? Obelisk Blue Uniform is so designed on his own persona. Go trenchcoats!!!

Mmm...Even I like the looks of Light and Darkness Dragon, and I'm not a dragon fan. Maybe it'll have a "double attribute" effect, where it counts as being both Light and Dark? Just a guess.
