what is the big deal with shiney pokemon, i just caught a shiney torkoal and i do not see any noticable difference besides the obvious that would make me desire one. can some1 please explain what makes them so great. :confused:

The reason for all the hyp about em isa cause of their extreme rareness and cause they look cool. I think their power is increased a bit over normal pokemon.

In GSC, they had all DVs of 10 out of a possible 15, which is actually not the greatest. In RS, it has no influence on IVs, however, it can have an influence on your opponent's awe. So other that asthetic differences, shinyness means nothing.
