In real time, it has only been 4 months. Four months later. And we are still stuck in Part One of the Hidimon’s Game RPG. But at least we saved Jenni and Ken, and just saved Kenny. I’m hoping that the weird things that happened in Missy’s version of the game doesn’t happen again. I go there sometimes. Usually to the digimon game, to have fun there. My other stories are just that-stories. But Acamina, it’s almost like a real world, that I love to visit often, both with Missy and in the RPG.
This day, I was going to Brandy’s house to hang out, then go to the library. It was a Friday of course; class always is out earlier on Fridays. I got there fine, walking while thinking of what can happen in Part Two and after that. We played on the message boards for a while, then left.
While walking down her street(it’s a 20 minute walk to the library from her house), we started talking about the game. We probably looked normal, or at least I did, in my usual pink shirt and blue capris, wearing a pink hat. Brandy is my age(I’m 19 now), and about 6 inches shorter, with brown hair like mine, but wearing a purple tank top and black pants.
“Michael better be on tonight,” Brandy said.
“Yeah. We should have finished Part One by the anniversary of the boards. But now we are farther from being done. You and me keep making up things to do while waiting for him. And now this Brandy problem can get dangerous.”
“At least it isn’t Brian any more.” Brandy replied.
I smiled. For a while, in the game, I was having Brian yell about anything that annoyed him, mainly Brandy’s characters. “Yeah, but playing Brian is fun. I can rant about anything you do. At least we finally saved Jenni and Ken. You know, that doesn’t sound right. One usually doesn’t talk about themself in the third person.” Brandy nodded, but was looking at someone.
It was a girl, with black hair, blue jean skirt and a yellow shirt. She looked normal, except she was walking straight at us. And something in my mind told me she wasn’t normal.
“Unless the two are two unique people. Jenni is not Jennifer and Jennifer is not Jenni. Anyone who knows what really is going on in your little brain knows that,” the girl said. I recognized where I knew her. She was the illusioned Realemon in Missy’s story. But she wasn’t real. No more that Pirelli, Jasmine and Wazumi are.
“What are you talking about?” Brandy asked.
“I’m talking about the story in Jennifer’s head that she won’t tell. The new friend she has up there. And don’t say it sounds like a totally different story.” the Realemon girl said.
“You…you must be mistaken. Unless you mean some story I am writing.” I said, looked at the girl. Why did I ever create her?
“Miss, I know exactly what happened. I don’t think you should hide it anymore,” she said, and turned around.
“Hold on. I want some answers.” Brandy demanded. The girl began to run.
The air felt like it changed. If you imagine what those large blasts in sci-fi shows might feel like, it kinda felt like that. But nothing seemed to happen. Brandy was there, the girl continued to run, and someone was starting to yell my name.
“Jennifer! Jennifer!” I turned around, and saw Missy. “Wait, you are Jennifer, right? Either way, I have to talk to you!” she said, very worried about something.
“Who are you?” Brandy asked.
“Um, who’s this? Can she know?” Missy asked me.
“Oh, this is Brandy. You never got to meet her, huh?” I replied, thinking. “But why…how are you here?”
“Um, she walked?” Brandy asked, kinda confused.
“That’s the thing. I don’t know. But is this reality or the story?” Missy asked. She was very panicked, very worried.
“I think it’s reality, until I saw you. But then again, we just saw the Realemon girl.” I replied, ignoring Brandy, hoping she wouldn’t ask anything.
“Her? Here? How can that be? That is totally impossible! Where are we?” Missy asked, looking around. “Naturally. We aren’t near the main streets.”
“Idea!” I said, and got into my backpack. I got out a sketchbook, where I had been drawing pictures of the people in Hidimon’s Game. I turned the page to the map I had drawn of Acamina. I compared the map to the mental map I had of Cityville. Both would lead me to the street I live on, but once there, we’d know where we were. I began to run towards that street.
“Slow down!” Brandy said. “What’s going on anyway?”
I stopped. “I guess we can’t hide it from you. This is Missy, and she…kinda takes me into my stories’ worlds. But more than just imagining it. It’s like reality there. But now, it seems like our world may not be like what it should be. Like that girl, in my imagined Hidimon’s Game world, she is the human form of Realemon. So now, we need to figure out if we are in the story or if the story has come to us.” I said, rushing to get back to finding out where we were.
“Well, if we are in the game, find Hidimon.” Brandy said.
“That sounds logical.” I said, thinking.
“But she doesn’t listen to you in the story. You aren’t Jenni.” Missy said.
“Uh, yeah she is.” Brandy said.
“When we go there, I am Jennifer, not Jenni. Hmm. I wonder who is here and who is not. Like if Jenni is here. Does that mean there is a copy of all the real people here? That would get confusing.”
“Well, at least we could tell the Michaels apart.” Brandy said.
“And you from your game self. You evil little pikachu.” I said, joking at her.
“What?” Missy said, confused.
“Oh, not important. But in the RPG right now, Realemon is controlling her. But that Brandy had purple streaks in her hair.” I said. Brandy smiled; she loves purple.
“Wonderful. I hope we don’t have to deal with that too. But try to call Hidimon.” Missy said, sighing.
“Hidimon!” I said, and mentally screamed. The wind started to blow, but no Hidimon appeared. A piece of paper flew into Missy’s hands as the wind died down. We looked at the paper.

“Um, what’s that mean?” Missy asked.
“It’s a joke I have been using recently when talking to Brandy and AJ on the IM. But I didn’t have this joke on that day. It’s a recent thingy.” I said, thinking. There was something about that date.
“I know it. Isn’t that the date you said we are in the RPG? You said that the thing started in November.” Brandy said.
I looked at the paper carefully. “It is the date. But, what’s going on?”
“Boo!” something yelled. We looked around, but didn’t see anything.
