02/11/06 Team battle Nexus vs Alpha.

This is Gary, I read some stuff on other threads about a team battle that may or may not be held at the B.R.A.D.S money tournament on 02/11/06.
I thought that it would be best to make a thread about it to hammer out the details. I also have not talked to many of my team mates about it so im not sure if there up to it,also I havnt talked to Rich the owner of the store. but I dont see why they wouldnt. so far the only information I can tell you about it is this

-5v5

Well the winning team would double there money. $40 per Team Member would be nice, but seeing how Alpha is traveling 3 hours to arrive here (gas money), then tournament expenses and food etc, I don't think they would be willing to put up $40 per person.

It probably won't be possible.

they are talking about it being a simple 5 on 5 one-round format. unless someone is amazing enough to cover 5 simultaneous matches, you won't get coverage.

They are trying to do it an hour before the tournament starts. If they start it at 12:00 pm with one 40 minute round, then they will be done by 12:40pm. The Cash tourny doesn't start until 1:00pm so they will still be participating in it.

Yeah, that way is a good idea too. That way, the best player from each team plays the best from the other, and so on...

The random pairing is good too, because you have to make sure each player from your team is ready to play the best from the other if need be.

I guess it all comes down to preference.

as for the fee for the battle Rich does not want any gambling in the store (thats what this would be considered) so the battle entry fee would be 12.50 and the winners will enter the cash tournie for free.

For real you guys are at such an advatage. You get to sleep in, you get to eat eat well... you can show up at what ever time you want, and you dont have to sit in a car for four hours.. i would say.. a definate advantage..

Quincy, just shut up. Your not getting any apology from nobody. It was your fault to come on to OUR Thread and tell everyone what they should and shouldn't do. Nobody asked you to "step in and tell everyone what to do", you made that decision yourself when you posted what you did.

Everyone was pissed off about the Regionals, and so when you came in and tried to be the person to settle everything, you got flamed for it. Not our fault. And I know you did it on purpose, because that wasn't the first incident my Team had with you. Just look at one of your last post's "I hope Alpha wins".

I have talked it over to most of the people in NeXus participating in this event, and they are fine with this. Now on the other hand, if any Alpha members that are participating in this event have a problem with this, let me know.

Prize Support: The winning team will get a Free $25.00 entrance fee to the B.R.A.D.'S Tournament being held that same day. The losing team must provide the winning team members with the amount of the entrance fee. So in other words, if you are on the losing team, you lose $25.00. However, if you are on the winning team, you get a Free Tournament entrance fee to the B.R.A.D.'S Tournament being held that same day.

I have talked it over to most of the people in NeXus participating in this event, and they are fine with this. Now on the other hand, if any Alpha members that are participating in this event have a problem with this, let me know.

So our host's shouldve tried to at least accomidate us a little bit, and given us a little lineance seeing as we hardly have an oppurtunity to play you guys. But, other various dates for the team war could be March orlando shonen? or even the next money tournie. ur right it wasnt nexus problem.........but we had 3 different cars and it was hard for the whole team to get down there....i told my ride to get there early cuz i wanted to do it......but ni got ther at like 12:30........i never heard marcial say he didnt trust in a 5.v 5......at first i thought we were gonna do it that night but my ride wanted to go at 9:00 so i couldnt do anything about it.......hopefully we can organize it early enough to make sure it doesnt happen again

First off, Team NeXus did not make the challenge, Donald Kiss from Team Alpha did. He sent me a PM saying this:

He sent me this PM on Febuary 5th, and this thread was created on Febuary 6th, so Donald...don't even try and say we made the challenge.

Second off, I was there, sitting down at B.R.A.D.'S all ready for the Team Battle at 12:00PM. I had to leave my house at 11:00PM, because I did not want to let NeXus down and not attend the Team Battle. I usually leave at around 12:30PM, but instead, I get there early...to what? Find out that Alpha want's to "wait until after the Tournament"?

So the Tournament is over, and we have our 5 Members all ready to play. Now what? Team Alpha says "oh well we don't have enough members that want to play since they are all to tired? HELLO! This is why we made the Team Battle time 12:00PM, not 12:00AM.

Why don't we just have it at the April 1st Regional in Orlando? 1st day of the new Banlist lol.

ok we wanted to do it after the tournmant but we could not because are ride wanted to leave and it was either go or stay and we had to pick go. i mean it is not worth walking home for a team battle that we can do a differnt time and besides that 4 hour trip to get there is hard to do with yours like 10 to 30 mins tops to get there and i will talk to the team about doing it at orlando but i am not going to make a say anything until the team agrees with it. sorry for the miss under standing trust me it is not alphas fault we do not have parents that will take us to south florida for a yugioh tournmant other wise we could have done it.
