SOI Sneak Preview - Austin, TX

Here's all the info on the event and of course, yours truely will be on staff for the event for there will not be an official Tournament this day at Northcross...or atleast there are no plans to have the tournament. There may be one, but not sanctioned...der! On to the info!

Austin Location: Thor's Hammer (8650 Spicewood Springs Rd. #114, Austin, TX 78759, 512-326-4332)
Located at 183 and Spicewood Springs on Feb 18th.

Prizes will be booster packs of Shadow of Infinity!

ALL players receive a promo card (while supplies last)!

We will have 2 main events at this Sneak Preview - One is the Sneak Preview Open Dueling event and the other is called the Sanctioned Sealed Pack Tournament.


Sneak Preview Open Dueling

Registration begins at 10 am and continues through the afternoon. (Except Sunday's event where registration opens at Noon)

Cost: $20 cash (No credit cards)

Each player will receive 5 booster packs of Shadow of Infinity to build their deck with.

Players then find opponents to play against in the Open Dueling Area. Once they have played 5 opponents, they return to the registration table for a prize of one more Shadow of Infinity Pack.


Sanctioned Sealed Pack Tournament Info

Registration is from Noon to 1 pm. The event starts at 1:15 pm. (Except Sunday's event where registration is from 2 pm to 2:30 pm)

Cost: $25 cash (No credit cards)

Each player will receive 5 booster packs of Shadow of Infinity to build their deck with.

This event will be 4 rounds of play. After playing all the rounds players will receive prizes based on the following schedule:

4 wins = 6 Packs of Shadow of Infinity
3 wins = 2 Packs of Shadow of Infinity
Everyone else = 1 pack of Shadow of Infinity

THAT'S RIGHT! - EVERY PLAYER WHO ENTERS THE EVENT WILL GET A PRIZE.

Thor's does have AC, but like most places, if you pack 200+ people in a big room, it does get hot. Those who do not wear deoderant will get "Tagged" and then Cobra Striked by Jake.

the set is decent. i'm sure we'll see atleast one decent card among them...EEN did have Wildheart.

as you may know by now, Cerda is with Harry at Roger's place along with James. I went by Thor's and there were a bunch of MTG and War Hammer Players so I looked around for a bit. I really hope they setup more table...I mean, I'm sure they will cause 14 tables may not be enough for the previewm the sealed pack, and the PCQ.
