Is Yata Coming Back?

I keep hearing this from some of my friends and stuff... Do u guys think that Yata Garasu may be coming back when the new list comes out? I hope so i am a die hard yata lock fan... Still got my yata deck in my Metal Deck Box I clean the dust off of it everyday... I hope it comes back...

Yeah, fengsheng is a 0 for 1, but you do get to see his hand regardless of spirit monsters, which can be useful in itself and combos with stuff like mind crush.

Yata will NEVER be unbanned. I seem to recall hearing somewhere that it and CED-EotE were the TWO REASONS why the American banlist was created. Yata has about as much chance of being unbanned as we have of getting Sixth Sense (or if we DO get Sixth Sense, then as much chance of Sixth Sense not being banned the banlist PRIOR to its release).

Next list? Possible, but extremely unlikely. Someday? In the OCG, certainly -- in the US, possible, but fairly unlikely.

Yata and CED could never, ever be legal at the same time, the CED/sangan/yata combo is just too broken for words.

Yata won't turn round a duel as it needs a clear field to attack. Ban dark hole and heavy storm, and a surprise yata-lock ain't gonna happen. Levia-dragon daedalus could do it, but that won't take care of cards in hand, although aoi can take out the biggest threat.
Nomi neo daedalus would destroy opponent's hand, but good luck summoning that (and sangan to get your yata).

Yata can be stopped with fengsheng mirror/ confiscation/ aoi/ card destruction/ offerings to the doomed/ sakuretsu armor/ mind crush.....
Don't hold your breath, but it might just get 6 months reprieve sometime.

If Yata will ever be unbanned, Sangan will surely be banned. This would make Yata much weaker, since it will allways be a Topdeck. Imho its possible to get him back, but Dark Hole should also be forbidden then.

UMMMMM... NO keep dreaming, this card is one of the main reasons why we have a ADV format... If it comes back it won't be as strong because there is enough control and balance right now. YATA cool card 2 have. thats really about it.

If it does they would probably take away: Delinquent, Confiscation, Forceful, Pot, Graceful, Sangan, Witch, Don, Drop Off, Torrential, and anything that belongs in the Yata Lock Deck. Like some cards Yata-Garasu is a mistake of the card creators, if it were lvl.5 that would make it a Soul Control staple, anyway, its effect is not balanced enough with the spirit drawback.

well from what i heard, yata might come back. there isnt much threat about it, we got:

sakuretsu
widespread
card destruction

also i heard that if they unban yata they are gonna ban sangan

Yata will come back into the OCG advanced format because they do not have a traditional format that allows banned cards to see play. Every card on the OCG banlist will come off at some point.

As for the TCG banlist, it has not been announced as to whether or not every card will rotate off the banlist at some point or another. This is all mere speculation.

Not necessarily. Soul Control doesn't just utilize Soul Exchange, but Brain Control as well. Brain + LV5 Yata = bad news for the opponent, but the Spirit adverse effect would make it hard for this to be pulled off...unless a Spell version of Pot of Avarice (meaning it gets back Spells instead of Monsters) is released. Still, either way, I don't see Yata coming back.

From what I've heard, every card will come off the Japanese list at some point. Konami does not want players to have ANY cards they can never use because of the lack of a Traditional format.

what's even the point of having a banlist if uberly broken cards get taken off for no reason? rotation is a pretty stupid idea, imo. so what if the OCG doesn't have a traditional format? i bet tons of ppl will stop playing for 6 months in the OCG if yata comes back. some cards just don't deserve to ever see play in a balanced (or an attempt to be balanced) game again. who cares if some dumb ass cries that he cant play his yata in a tourny.
