Depends what kinda answer you want: The-Every-deck-can-win-in-theory-answer: Yes it can. The-WTF-Screw-Softies-this-is-the-hard-world-answer; No, simply put; Horus alone is already difficult to even top8 with, while Armed Dragon lv7 is just...plain..crap...

I cant say that i agree with you on the armed dragon comment. It runs just fine for me. Horus is better in traditional, i agree with that, but he is not too difficult to top8.

Note that I was talking about large scale tourneys, not the run of the mill regs...

So you FINALLY get Armed Dragon lv7 on the field, now you can discard your eh....Cyber Dragon to kill their DDA,WOOOT.

A good player will have a maximum of 2 monsters on the field, so the max. advantage you can gain is one, omg ONE....

I agree, it won't work, it's hard enough to get just horus on the field and keep him their then armd dragon= bad hand management if you can even get him on the field they are both still too likely to get BTH or sak when they attack and if you use royal decree one of the D.D. monsters will remove them or injection will slap them down as much as I hate to admit it this won't work to well

It's very unlikely. The Armed Dragon family has some of the most versatille and synergistic dragons available, but the Horus clan is very stand-aloneish.

Armed Dragon LV5s can be summoned extremely quickly and easily with the aid of Masked Dragon. Horus has no searcher that cna help get its big guys to the field quickly. The only card that helps both clans simultaneously is Level Up, but you'd have to dedicate a lot of spaces in your deck for tribute monsters, which could easily be a death sentence with each bad draw you have.

There better off as seperate decks, or using one family as a side deck than together.

i think it can but i havent had much success in building one. the biggest problem is keeping the deck at a good count. its really hard when have about 6 special summon\tribute monsters along with the support needed in order for it to run effectively.

I have a tendency to run a couple more traps than people would advise so decree would hurt me. Which family would you guys suggest useing?? I already have Armed Dragon LV10 on hold at the local card shop for me, just so you know. (The owner is my best-friends father, so he said when he gets them in, i can have one)

A good card for a Horus/Armed Dragon deck is Ojama Trio.

Forcefully give your opponent 3 easy killable monsters so your dragons can level up, this is obviously more important for Horus Lv4 though because 1600atk can't kill much in the current CC and Horus doesn't benefit from Masked Dragons the way Armed Dragon does. You cannot be guarenteed to draw a Level up in hand, even at x3, it's another option for Horus 4 to level up through its own effect.

Also, strangely enough, cost down can be worth running for Horus Lv6 to get out faster.

Royal Decree (obviously) and Royal Command are good traps to help keep the dragons alive. Stop pesky sakuretsus or stop Cyber Jars (outside of damage step).

My body as a shield can offer some protection as well (Tsukuyomi slaps AD LV7 around a bit with a large trout.)

My friend running one this past weekend did very well, the Ojamas surprized most players and rellay helped Horus 6 to come out. Nobleman of Exterminations can help with the bottomlesses and Sakuretsus.

use decree, seriously, if you build a horus deck, it SHOULD have 2 decree's to cause a complete lock.
you don't splash horus, and you don't run two level families together, pick one, horus or the wimpy armed dragon (whos stats AND effect are sub-par) horus is currently the best level up monster, as it has the best negation in the game, free choosable negation, no negation effect in the game can do what he can.
