I was looking through all my base rares when I came across Machine Duplication
Machien Duplication
Normal spell
Select one Machine-type monster with an attack of 500 or less on your side of the field and actiate this card. You can special summon up to 2 cards with the same name from your deck.
Now i was thinking with all those people using dekoichi, couldn't they use this card to pull out three bekoichi (I think thats what it is, the train car thing) and draw four cards? I know it's a strange combo and all but it could be something that nicely compliments a few different decks and gain not only deck thinning but card advantage.
What is everyone's thoughts on this??

I think this belongs in Single Card Discussion.:D
But this combo has been known for a long time. I have a suspicion that either Bokoichi/Dekoichi or Machine Duplication was made to support the other (I think it was Dekoichi to support Duplication, which appeared on the anime). You'll also notice that there are MANY monsters in RDS that also work with Duplication (Mighty Guard, Woodborg Inpachi, Heavy Mech Support Platform).

this looks like it should be moved to the single card discussion
anyway, i don't think that's a good idea, since if you draw machine duplication when you don't have a dekoichi face down, and a bokoichi in your hand/field it's pretty much an useless card, also if you draw more than 2 bokoichi the combo will give you less advantage and you will end with 2 almost-useless mosters in your hand
it CAN work but it's not effective enough, maybe a deck focused on machines that also runs 3 heavy mech support will have some use for the combo, but it's too situational for my taste

Thanks for the feedback and is any mod would be so kind as to move this to the correct forum I would be grateful. I think I might incorporate this combo into my final countdown deck though. Just to see how it runs.

It's a managable combo. Try it out and see if it'll work for you. On a side note, why does everyone feel it's their duty to say that a thread is in the wrong forum? Like the mods won't come across it anyway and move it if it needs to be. Just seems like a whole lot of people act like wanna be mods....just my opinion.

Let's see. Machines that work well with Machine Duplication, without additional help...
- Bokoichi -- as mentioned by topic starter, add Dekoichi and you get a bunch of cards from one flip.
- Woodborg Inpachi -- get a bunch of defenders. There's a possible OTK too, but it's too inconsistent to build a deck around -- Toon/Cannon Soldier, Last Will, launch, get Woodborg, Machine Duplication, Shield & Sword, attack, game. If only Woodborg Inpachi were lower-level...
- Jinzo #7 -- add Robbin' Goblin and you can decimate your opponent's hand.
- Heavy Mech Support Platform -- who doesn't like extra protection?

Because they're too lazy to hit the little red triangle. They'd rather just annoy people by pointing out mistakes, rather than actually DO SOMETHING about it.
